About i am the sti

  1. mark higgins is a jammy get! that sounded awesome, i'd sell my kids to be able to do that!!!!
  2. Would love an RS200 or S1 RS Turbo, had an RS 1600i for about 7 years until it started to fall to bits but fave would be a Shelby Mustang GT500 as in "Eleanor"
  3. Any number today, classics, bugeyes, blobeyes, hawkeyes and hatches. I was parked at the corner of Gloddaeth Street and West Shore behind a rather nice Bugeye STI with private plates. If that was yours or if anyone was there then "Hello" to you.
  4. Blue classic, WRX I think, driving on the dual carriageway in Whitchurch Shropshire at about 8.45pm. TMN on numberplate. That was me that came flying past you. Hello if it was you.
  5. Got to say I like the car but not the back lights, shades of some cheap Korean make?
  6. Mine takes 55 quid too but only does about 200 miles. Am i driving it wrong?
  7. Hi James, personally I would say no, not for a decent blobeye. I bought one in July, a late '03 model with 24000 miles on the clock, it was £8000 and that was the cheapest I'd seen in ages so i paid a deposit before I'd even seen it. I have since spent another grand on new brakes and flaming rear shockers,so not so cheap after all!!! I'd been keeping my eye on the prices for about 2 years and had never seen one for around £6000 before. Looking at prices now you would get a decent bugeye for that money but I don't think you'd get a blobeye that you could drive away and not worry about. You could even get a Prodrive STI bugeye for that money. I don't think there's much difference mechanically, that you'd notice anyway. So it's just personal choice on the looks. (And money of course) Anyway, I hope I've helped a little. And I hope you get lucky. Regards Lance.
  8. Thanks guys. You're right about the wavers!
  9. Ah the old Tamiya. I still have my Subaru Brat "Mud Blaster", after 18 years and it still works perfectly except for the body shell which is pinned together with tin plating. It's still quite fast for an old 'un but not quite as fast as the Schumacher 21XT Desert Storm truck I have. For the kids you understand.
  10. Spotted VX 53 blue STI with SWRT livery in Llangollen. Our little boy says "Where's our stickers?"...
  11. Nice one, cheers mate. I'll probably go for the filter and exhaust to start with and see what happens. I would like some different wheels aswell but don't know what would suit. I'm a bit of a rally fan. Any ideas anyone? Cheers.
  12. Hi to all you scooby drivers. Now I probably should have said hello here first instead of doing a few posts on the forum but i'm still finding my way. I recently bought my second Impreza, it's a 53 plate STI Type UK in World Rally Blue with 24000 on the clock and I love it. My first was back in 2006, it was a '99 Version 6 UK turbo 2000 in red mica that actually looked orange when the sun shone on it. I had to sell it though coz the missus got pregnant and struggled to get in and out of it. I still can't believe how friendly fellow scooby drivers are, everybody waves when you drive past. Easter 2006, me and girlfriend went to the Isle of Man and as soon as we pulled off the ferry on to the sea front there was a bloke waving at us in a car park full of Imprezas saying "come in come in" but because we didn't know what was happening and we had to find the hotel we didn't stop. I wish I had now. Anyway I'm in North Shropshire so if there's any meets or anything maybe you could let me know. Cheers, Lance.
