  1. that sounds like a plan, we'll have to make a decision soon so we can get somewhere booked or we might get reduced to McDonalds drive-thru. Haven't been to Alconbury for a while last time i was there i was playing an American football match as the US airbase.
  2. thats a nice WRX mate. Read the threads on the forum you'll pick up alot of info like i did, i'm pretty new to scoobs to. What did you want to know about them anyway?
  3. I spoke to a guy called Spencer at CP Motorsport in Bristol after i got the number from someone on this forum and he suggested BC coilovers over some of the other marks (this guy knows his stuff). I'm just saving up the cash at the moment to buy a set for my Hawkeye WRX
  4. Matt - today i have had far to much time on my hands DaOne - Keep the idea's flowing, we won't ask Matt for anymore as i can smell his lil burning brain from here
  5. I think Doughboy suggested a Saturday but we'll have to see what the general census is
  6. Alright Guys After a good idea from Doughboy last night about having a Christmas "do" i thought i'd start this thread and poll to see how many people might be interested. If you fancy it please place a vote and then reply to the thread so we got names. Doughboys only request is that we all bring our scoobs and wear a santa hat or any other silly hat :kerstsmiley: Any idea's where to hold this party are welcome Cheers Mark
  7. People still up for the meet tomorrow night?
  8. Got my mate and his Spec-D to come along as well and Doughboy said he's be coming so expect to see a convoy of hawkeyes heading to the pub lol
  9. in some ways your better off with sticking to the single turbo either a direct replacement or bigger. Twin turbo setups will require more work and are more of a pain to tune. If your thinking of a bigger turbo other parts will be required (check Andy Forrest Performance). If your bugeye is just a WRX from what i know they have weaker internals compared to the STI models so you'd have ot be careful with the upgrades. Mark
  10. Thanks for the info guys much appreciated. Arch - any idea's where i can find a complete transmission only place i know is Jap Performance Parts? Spooky - Thanks for the help i'll give him a ring Not sure whether to repair the car or sell it and get another one as i still got the rear shocks to do as well
  11. Was hoping if someone could provide some information. My front diff needs new bearings and the whole tranny is going to have to come out to be repaired. I have one quote so far of £1000 for parts and labour (i just s**t myself). I'm waiting on another quote from another garage but i was wondering if anyone knows a garage who could do it cheaper. Also had a thought of replacing the current tranny with a STI 6 speed (new prop shaft will be needed as well) and if that is a good idea in a 06 WRX. Any help would be welcome Mark
  12. ah ok, well i'm up for it i'm trying to get my mate and his Spec-D to come as well. I'll text Doughboy see if he's gonna come be good to all meet up again Mark
  13. Sup guys Is there going to be a meet this month?
  14. i've always wanted these and i think they would look pretty good on a scoob Lenso RS5
  15. found this while looking for spare parts Impreza S201
  16. I got a HKS SSQV on my Hawkeye WRX and i love it, what was even better was i managed to get it second hand from a SIDC member in the sales section.
  17. Thanks for the info guys, just got to find the money now to go buy some replacement shocks (and tein springs if i can get away with it). Wasn't sure whether to go for the normal KYB shocks or the KYB Ultra's. My biggest concern is the front diff that i got to get sorted, that won't be cheap
  18. You still going to come to the Cambs/Beds meets mate
  19. Hi guys After getting my car back from its 50,000 mile service (although car only covered 44,500) i've been told one of the rear shocks is leaking and will need replacing. Can anyone advise of a suitable aftermarket replacement kit for me, the cars a 06 Impreza WRX. Also as a foot note they said the fonr diff noise is more than it should be and that it will need to come out and be looked at, has anyone else had this problem. Cheers Mark
  20. sorry guys i was on holiday so was unable to make it, should be good for the October one tho
  21. i got bridgestones on my WRX and they are pretty good performers, some of the people i have spoken to at my local meets use Falcons or Eagle F1's
  22. You have a similar car to me a 2006 Impreza WRX Type UK but unlike mine it might have had the Pro-drive pack installed, check the handbook as the original owner of the car might have had some details put in by Subaru when they first got the car. By the sounds of your description you might well have it as the Prodrive kit has an exhaust, air piping and a few other parts including a slightly tweeked engine map, i might be wrong but i think the suspension will be the same as the standard WRX
  23. Welcome to the forum Depends if you have a specfic power goal or if you just want to bolt on a few parts for the fun of it (like i have ) Go to http://www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk/index2.html and have a look as there are guidelines as to what to do regarding power hikes, for example: Level 1 300-330 bhp Sportscat exhaust from turbo back 2.5 or 3” bore Walbro 255 l/hr uprated fuel pump K+N panel filter Ecutek custom remap Twin boost set up for high/low power switchable in-car If you put the same kind of system you had on the old car onto the STI you will be looking at a good 25+ bhp increase and some additional pull.
