nah not as far as i know phil. think that was bazs model onwards with the dccd wasnt it? someone will know.or.can give baz a text? their there if you want or need them if they fit . im going through to bazs on thursday at 1:30. so if they are the size id ask him to check the tyres on the set im buying as i do know they have tyres.but his mechanic.did say the tread was prety low.

im getting a set of alloys fitted at baz's on thursday phill. taken of my blob 03 wrx sti . so not.sure if.the pcd is 100 or 114. but im getting my tyres.fitted to the other set as im buying them from his mechanic scott and mines are newish tyres. think the tyres he has on the alloys im buying.has legal tread but it is low and lower than the tread on mine current set. if their the size your after then your more than welcome to use the set im taking of my motor the now and you could see baz about putin those tyres that are on the set im buying onto the set im taking of and using them free of charge as i was just going to sell the alloys without tyres. thier just the standard 17" 03 blobeye gold ones. and just abit kerberd but all straight etc. can use them free of charge aswel. wouldnt want cash or beer or that .

older springs are shorter but thicker. the thicker the spring usualy means harder to compress doesnt it. wherr as the thiner ones will compress easier under load. so even tho you have a longer spring. its going to compress down more easier than the thicker one so the length doeant make to much a difference. if the newer ones were the same thickness as the old ones. being.that length then they would defo raise the car more. well i could be talkin absolute pap there but going back to the old physics days at high school thats what it meant lol. so should apply to springs for cars

think if she keeps goin on about running costs il just tell her im getting a bike. cheaper to run. cheaper on parts.insurance etc still got speed. and leave her worrying about me when its wet outside or snowy and that i might not make it back. as she doesnt want me to get one.but ive always fancied a.cruiser to go.about on. unless thats her long term goal/plan .make it.seem like my idea then if i do fail to make it hame one night she gets the life insurance. women eh.. they can be coniving little b..ches

your telling me chris.. she pops into dealer ships on her lunch without me and they give her the shpeel about it being a diesel and not to.expensive and that they can get 40mpg+ im like you do realise thats 18" wheels on it. big breaks etc. you think scoob disks.are exspenive or tyres are. those are bigger so will cost more. but shes like i wont.need that stuff.for a few.years blah blah. think she has realised some.of what i say is.true because.i. saw her looking at dis-astras yesterday on 0% fpr five years. .

id like to say i own it completely but it is our car she did help pay for it too. tho i did trade in the hyundai coupe to put towards it. thinking the sooner we can get the house sold and move tp the bit we want. then the scoob can sit on drive saving running costs. shes.near the train station so can get that to work and i can use the micra even tho shes.wanting.to.trade that in for a new car like a kuga or that vauxhall mocha thing. all jeep looking things. so she feels safer and for when babys come. if i am forced to get rid and get something new . it wouldnt stop me coming on here. think id be like the scottish equivalent of matty lol. did try explaining if we get something new or.two new motors then thatd be monthly payments on finance with intrest etc blah blah . but shes.just been.sturborn.

scooby is my daily driver all be it 5miles to work and back on 30mph-40mph roads , only spend about £130 a month petrol which is good sensible driving compared to when i got through £60 a week when i had a heavier foot . even tho its my daily driver its my hobby too, i dont hit town with lads anymore realy apart from Birthday nights out and dont realy drink anymore apart from social gatherings if im not driving or a pals bday night out , quit playing poker . but she doesnt get it or see it other than as an expense to have . and any more that just a car ,where as an enthusiast and love my cars its more than that too me, the way it looks, it handles, it feels to drive, how i feel siting in it ,driving places, the looks i get from people , the waves from kids standing with their parents, parents pointing it out to their kids and waving as i drive and waving back. she doesnt get that at all .

Realy need some help the wifes gone crazy and started talking gibberish. uttering rubbish about getting rid of the scoob sooner rather than later some point this year. saying some rubbish about getting a more economical cheaper to run car . something.cheaper on insurance,cheaper on road tax , cheaper on parts and cheaper on petrol. told her that shes talking crazy . she said ive always wanted to do the fling and then afterwards start thinking of saying goodbye. tried convincing her that id get peanuts for the motor now, that id put it off road for so many months of the year so no running costs. that we could get a classic so itd be cheaper and more affoardable, that we could get a newer diesel. but nope. she likes the scoob just not the costs of it. i dont see myself driving anything else as good or enjoyable as it. and would love to put it off the road under a tarpolin and get a wee £100 scrappy thing for A to B work comute knowing its there. but shes adimant that its going soon . whats my optiona folks ? divorce isnt one of them by the way ? maybe a few helpful hints and talks from people while were on the fling next week would convince her? id like to think strength in numbers and shed be out numbered 24+ scooby lovers to 1 of her.. and NO another option isnt a wee accident happen to her while on.the fling when im not with her........ pmsl nah but seriously options folks? help? suggestions? or good chats with her on the fling to convince her to change her mind?

agree with the sign in part. many a time ive seen 1 or 2 members. but 10+guests browsing a page. also a new content tab on the home page rather than the recent post thays on.the left. make it a tab on the very top next to other tabs . so instead of clicking on recent ones and only seeing the 8 or so most recent posts then having to browse all the forums or go to the forum page then coicking new content. just move it forward and have it on the main page.

once a week .dependin how dirty it gets.. start with chucking a few coins in the metre at local garage . press a number 1 power wash then a bit.of.number 3 to soap her up. then number 5 for bug remover on the wheels. down to a 4. light rinse. number 2 hot soapy brush back onto number 4 light rinse soap off number 3 again soap number 1 power wash soap away then finaly a number 6 all over which is hot wax spray . if i have time il just park in my folks driveway . two bucket method. soap wash a couple times with sponge. rinse off. clean. clay bar and tardiss for just at bottom of front doors and sill as loads of tar build up there and if have wax a quick wax. if not meguirs polish stuff

as matty says bud .jump right in . dont be worried about makin an ass of yourself.we all have foot in mouth problems and ive probably been one of the worst for it especialy when i was trying to have a bit of.banter with one of the members about his spec c and posted a pic similar looking white car that i got of.google images that was burning at the side of the road. turns out it was an sidc members pride and joy that caught flames and was in the news . but it had happened a year or two before i joined. very big egg on face moment for me there when.everyone pointed out whos it was etc. just ahd to apologise for the post as i.obviously didnt know and took the pic off.

lol ive got a few movie threads to fire up in the off topic section even if theres no.intrest i try to fire up a wee bit of info of up and coming films.date of release and if possible trailors aswel. lots of new stuff been mentioned and its getting.close to release dates of.ones i posted before xmas like oblivion and fast furious etc. i wouldnt say i spam ... too much .i just try to give some alternative reading material.variety being the spice of life and all that haha . plus i think next week the forum will die down a bit for a few days chris with some of the main posters away but then when they come back there should be a flurry of posts with vids and pics and banter from stuff on the fling . i noticed that last year with evryone away and it went a bit quiet .
