  2. I had the plates made up for the car shows, attended a few last year and hopefully make a good few this year. i am sure when they sort out all the finances and shop stuff there may be an official SIDC cover plate....
  3. well it has been a long winter so far cleaning the car has been impossible, so today temp was good no rain and mild first clean of 2011. i have added a few mods to the car since it was last out in 2010.... walbro 255 feul piump, cobrasport 3" downpipe with sports cat, blitz nur spec 3"centre and rear section(much more noise ), blitz blow off valve and a do luck high flow panel filter.. i am not running it just now in case i get any adverse lights coming on with the mods but it is booked in for a remap in late february in time for the spring... a few pics from today.. roll on february and the better weather
  4. Just got my car tax bill in £435 for 12 months.... For that I want someone sweeping the road in front of me, repairing potholes before I get there and clearing snow / slush without spraying salt over the car.... Oh and maybe let me raise the sped limits ..
  5. That really was a lucky man, think we would all like to be as cool as that driver and not just hit the brakes and hope..,,!,not sure what happened to the lorry maybe touched the brakes on the bend and they Jamed on on the trailer....
  6. Shennan motorsport in new Cumnock will fit one for less than £500 if that helps
  7. Glad to see you got the leak fixed kenny, they do drink enough without a leak. You only need to look at Barrys build thread to see he knows what he's doing with a scoob.....,,,,
  8. At magnificent machines was it pete gave you his card, think I would try him and see what he thinks.....hope you get it fixed without any hassle .
  9. If you had a decent, say 3mm bit wire you could slip it between the window and the rubber seal carefully and try hooking the bonnet catch that would let you at the battery......
  10. It sounds like the battery in the car has gone flat.....not sure how you get in now if it only opens with the fob. Sorry
  11. Can't think who that could be, Sure it reminds me of someone on a flyer that was handed out at knockhill :kerstsmiley:
  12. Bobby if my figure of 731 members last year is right then that's a turnover of £21,930.
  13. I. Can't understand the lack of voting, we are voting to get the best people in place for us the members and less than 100 votes per post yet there are ment to be 731 members.. They must all be in protest and not voting.....
  14. I agree with maddogsx method but hope he dosent mind this addition, When bleeding you are trying to get the air out of the system so with engine off 1 I would get the person in the car to pump the pedal to the flood a few times with the nipple on the calliper open to get fluid in the system, then 2 push pedal to the floor tighten nipple release pedal, 3 open nipple push pedal to floor watching fluid coming out. Tighten nipple. You are looking for the fluid to run clear without spurting or having air bubbles in it. Repeat above until you get clear clean fluid always closing nipple with pedal. Pushed in. This should end up giving a solid brake pedal ie when you push it with the engine off it will be really hard to push in showing air is out of the brake system. Hope this helps
  15. I'll take 20,, All for a great cause. If you can pm me your pay pal plz.....
  16. brilliant work, the car from before to after is a great transformation. goes to show what can be done.
  17. Fantastic figures Chris, that graph is unreal. I'm glad to see the misfire got sorted without much hassle
  18. Unlucky with the cat cleaner, the only other quick check I can think of would be to check the air filter is clean and possibly remove for the mot, this can cure the failed reading it runs rich if dirty air filter failing the test.
  19. My dads forester failed on imissions this year,(2.0 turbo s) I went and got some "cataclean" from a shop in paisley, added this and ran 30miles to get it working. The car passed without a problem, mot guy asking how I managed it. Don't know if it wkuld work for you but worth a try maybe.
  20. The turbo is rev related, so you should get the same problem in a lower gear at the same revs if it is the turbo....
  21. this may not be a popular answer as i know some don't like using it. but, if its only a slight leak and you can't find it, you interior heaters are all working normally proving good water circulation throught the system. i would try a bottle of radweld. it will seal permenantly any small leak.
  22. That's really ********* *************, I can't believe these people get away with it, you do your research pick a site you think you can trust. Really gutted for you...and I can't believe pay pal I always thought they were among the safest ways to pay for stuff ebay or not. I'm glad you got your block. I just ordered some bits from the USA and stories like this just make you wary about ordering online at all.. Hope you manage to get more cash back in time ..........
  23. That looked like one bad accident, glad to hear you are all ok . You'll be gutted bout loosing the car but another pride and joy can be bought family can't be replaced so easily......
  24. Great pics . My first real sports car was a 1986 ur quattro, in tornado red. Stunning car and the inspiration for all 4wd rally cars.
  25. Looks very nice, needs the spoiler and I liked the lack of door frames on the old saloons.
