  1. Hi guys i've just bought another classic as my current one is provisionally sold, the question i have is that the car i've bought is coming back on a check from the dvla as being a 1995 which is correct as its an m reg but according to the dvla it was first registered in 2002?? would that make it an import??? the ad for the car states it as a turbo 2000 with an sti engine transplant running approx 300 bhp.
  2. 3 litre cams not give it extra 25 bhp??? was looking at a gsi just before i got my classic and it had the 3ltr cams and k&n air filter and after mapping was apparentlt 260+
  3. oh i know mate but unfortunately no... its to do with the way there territory is split up... if he were to go theer and the guy who does that area found out then he could lose his franchise...
  4. hat off to him... guy must be mental to have thought of that conversion..
  5. anyone know this car??? scoob wrx classic
  6. How to here mate Roof strip removal
  7. alright guys i've spoken to my uncle (autosmart guy) about possibly coming to a meet with his lorry and he is willing to come and obviously do some special offers/deals on there products, only problem is that because of the way his territory is split he can only go to certain areas (listed below). he has said that due to past experiences with going to meets that there needs to be a decent amount of interest, he's talking 15+ cars/owners who are interested in buying some valeting/detailing products. he can do meets in the following areas:- Hillington Anywhere in Lanark East Kilbride I was thinking along the lines of maybe the possibility of getting a few other groups together (clan japan etc). and having a mega meet . if anyone is interested then let me know and we will take it from there
  8. right guys i've spoken to my uncle (autosmart guy) about possibly coming to a meet with his lorry and he is willing to come and obviously do some special offers/deals on there products, only problem is that because of the way his territory is split he can only go to certain areas (listed below). he has said that due to past experiences with going to meets that there needs to be a decent amount of interest, he's talking 15+ cars/owners who are interested in buying some valeting/detailing products. he can do meets in the following areas:- Hillington Anywhere in Lanark East Kilbride I was thinking along the lines of maybe the possibility of getting a few other groups together (clan japan etc). and having a mega meet . if anyone is interested then let me know and we will take it from there
  9. for the vectra your probably talking 200 - 240 bhp its basically vectra gsi spec (the gsi has the same engine as the v6 vectra) just with the 3 litre cams in it... the talk of msd this and that is partly right , due to the fact that the gsi's were tuned by msd who were building vauxhalls touring cars at the time. all the guy has done really has been switch the brain over and fit th cams from a 3litre omega... nothing to really write home about. tbh i dont think it would beat a scoob..... i don't know the scoobie in question i just noticed it on my usual scan of swapz.... looking for a car for the missus as she's got bored of her vectra sri... and she dont like driving the scoob cos apparently the exhaust gives her a sore head..? lol
  10. do what my old fella does... wait till near the end of your contract and phone them up telling them to cancel it,when they ask why tell them its because you've been offered the same deal by another network and that they are offering same handset and guaranteeing an upgrade every 12 months... they won't be long in bending over backwards to keep you with them. either that or take out some phone insurance, wait a couple of months and then claim it....you should get the newer handset by default
  11. same plugs i've had in my past 2 scoobs and can't fault em....
  12. this one by any chance??? www.swapz.co.uk/swapz/1093424/subaru_impreza_sti_import_/
  13. the garage mate, they aint far from you either
  14. Did it have gold speedline crono's on mate??? with the prodrive high level spoiler??? r reg....
  15. Sorry to hear that mate... good of the scotrail guys to do what they done.....
  16. question is why torch your own car if its no insurance?????????? be better selling/scrapping/breaking it for spares....that way you get something back.. you sure it was his car???(insurance job gone wrong perhaps) either way its ****in out of order i've lost 2 cars due to similar **** and its not amusing, me personally i would kick him around for it not only for doing it but for what he's put your family through because of his stupidity.... at least none of your cars were damaged mate
  17. used to use autoglyms stuff in the past...... tbh at the moment i haven't got loads of time available when it comes to cleaning the car/but at the same time i'm a clean freak when it comes to my cars so the autosmart stuff in my opinion gives good overall results while at the same time is quick and easy to use....
  18. Oh and yeah mate the existing earth cables going to the battery should now be bolted directly to the car body....
  19. going by this wiring diagram http://www.cartek.biz/tech-info.html The Isolator unit should be mounted close to the vehicle's battery and directly onto the vehicle's metal chassis/body using un-painted bolts. As the power from the vehicle's battery is conducted to chassis/earth via the base plate of the Isolator then care and attention should be taken when mounting. If the Isolator can not be mounted directly to the main chassis then a suitable earth cable will need to be connected between the Isolator mounting plate and the vehicle’s chassis or engine. Also, do not fit the Isolator close to any heat source such as exhaust. hope this helps.
