  1. it varies from engine to engine and depends on what kind of life its had (whether well serviced/looked after etc....) an engine which has had a hard life may not take much extra power before it self destructs

  3. I've got a mate in the same boat mate, only thing i could maybe suggest is go self eployed...get cards made up and leave them at diy stores-b&q etc, or even get flyers made up and pay a couple of local kids to fire them through letter boxes for ya!! hope this gives you some ideas
  4. i might just be dumb but why the f**k would the amount of personal injury claims bump up car insurance?? in the sense of "bill used the wrong twattin ladder to install an alarm and hurt himself so ben's car insurance went up"?? lol.
  5. try 1st direct car insurance mate, my missus was £550 odd a yr for her mk1 vectra sri but she was £380 a yr with 1st direct for my modded classic that was with claim within 12 month, all mods declared and all extra's (legal cover, windows, courtesy car, breakdown assist etc) parked on the street and no alarm or immobiliser!! be worth a try!!!

  12. also one place i wouldn't touch is the one in rutherglen... me mate took his e36 m3 too them to have it tinted and guy told him to come back in an hr and it would be done.... 2hrs later still hadn't been touched.... not good customer service..
  13. front doors must let 75% of light through but its a grey area as most cars come with tinted glass and most are bang on the line..... even light smoke tint is too dark,it just depends on whether its deputy dick or petrolhead rick that pulls ya over..
  14. sure is same side as graveyard,in the industrial estate across from the taxi office guys good, does guarantee as far as if you get a window broke then get a new one fitted and he'll tint it again for free.
  15. Hamilton autotints are pretty good, they do a lifetime guarantee as well
  16. think the spoilers they have advertised are for classic.... mid level ones..
  17. i would rather buy private than through dealers... with private you can get a better idea of how the cars been driven/cared for by just asking the owner some well chosen questions, with a dealer for all you know the car has the living **** kicked out of it and been patched up to get rid.. hope you get it sorted out mate....
  18. acetone aint too dear works out at £32 odds + vat for a 5 gallon drum which would more than enough...... cfs.net And at the same time you're guaranteed consistent results with it, as well as obviously being able to reuse it.
  19. get yaself a plastic 25gallon drum, cut it in half and fill it with acetone, stick ya block halfs in one by one and leave to soak in it for bout 24hrs.... job done... anything it doesn't shift will come of with a scrub wi some acetone and some wire wool.... simples.
