Glossy Picture Of My Front Wing
Ultimate Shine replied to Ultimate Shine's topic in Scottish Scoobies
It does make a difference and i also have special Race Car polish that lowers the drag factor on a car as it makes it slippy smooooooth Trackclaw. ( I would love to do a test with this on a top speed run on someones track beast. -

Cheers Iain but i drilled the insert in the pipe from housing to T to 1.1mm and i now have better control of boost, or enough to map out the problems. The boost was feeling wild before but miles better now. Next issue hit was the MAF maxed out at 300g/sec by 5100rpm in 3rd. This is a bad thing in a way but more a good thing as the power is coming i can feel it. I will increase the inlet pipe size round the maf to compensate. Che -

You know i could take the orangepeel out but after doing that on detailingworld to a customers car you don't know what people will think. I have done the back of my van. This is it with no orangepeel 22 hours of work on one panel. Note the top section is NOT a window. A full panel tailgate Yes my man it's run in but now we have boost control issues. It won't hold boost it keeps boost creeping i think i need to change to 3 port solenoid!! Bare with me i could quote a price but i have just spent 22hrs on an SIDC members car and have a nice write up for you all. That isn't a wax mate that is a sealant. I use various different sealants depending on colour and type of car. Wax i keep for the more solid or darker colours and on cars with curves. The problem with wax on silver is it dulls the flake so it will look shiney but not flakey The sealant on it is Gloss It "Finish" a solvent based sealant and then on top Gloss It "Concorso" Waterbased sealant. The Finish is the first durable coat and the concorso gives the show gloss you see. I am a Gloss It authorised re-seller, they do a fantastic full range of products as you will see in my write up. What car do you have? -
Hi Guy's, As always you walk past something and when it has the right light at the right angle you are guaranteed a good picture. Tonight was that moment i looked at the front wing and i have just spent 2 days machine polishing car and this is the result. I have got in just now another members car so there will be a write up to follow.

Chris i was across to see Steve Whitson today for oil and a filter for my car. I went into his unit and had to shout "STEVE" All i could hear in a corner was steve talking to himself "how will i manage, A month to do it all, a month to do it all" Only joking he had just come off the phone to wizzards of nos. It sounds good mate but it may need a clean before crail

My 8 day black gtr job from last year You can't beat black for reflection shot's. My van tailgate has been wetsanded to remove all orangepeel, it took 20hrs but well worth it. Now the section at the top isnt glass it's paint
-
Very nice mate did you wetsand or is it just machine polished?

My WRX runs a TD05 18G with a large top mount. The standard injectors had to be changed for 550cc pinks, even fitting a fuel pressure regulator it wasn't enough for the standard one's. The 550cc work great though. The 16g will be a nice comprimise as i have found the 18g hard on the gearbox. Still running mine in but i will eventually change to the md321t. Another consideration is clutch choice. I run an exedy hyper single and it does for my mods but no more power. I should have done the twin plate.

Upholsterers In Edinburgh Area / Central Scotland?
Ultimate Shine replied to Rheid's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Have to agree they used to do full leather jobs on brand new cars i used to sell as they made a better job than the factory. -
I have used Derek @ finishing touch. He was at my unit today, 07739321593 is his number

You will probably find that putting 2 coats of wax on the car and the polish is quite time consuming as you will need to strip off any of the wax from the previous time (As you explain by claying) before applying polish again. Do you clay your car once a month? My advice is if you are a monthly cleaner and you only want to polish then i would just go for the Blackfire polish and the matching Deep gloss detail spray so each week you can wash, dry and give a spritz over with the spray and then once a month polish. The other thing about the polish is it is so easy to apply and even easier to take off
-
I stock all Blackfire products mate. If you are looking for any advice give me a call.
-
Nice job mate, You should try some Blackfire wax and polish on that colour though
-
They are top feed and the standard will do for about 300bhp and then you will need to go to pink 550cc injectors. Have you got a walbro fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator?
-
I went for his special set up with the 2.0 bottom end with 2.5 Nitrile crank, 2.5 eagle rods, 2.125 oversized pistons, the usual race spec bearings and arp bolts. He also spent 10hrs on the heads giving them some free flowingness. I have GT spec headers and a 3" from turbo back exhaust, larger top mount intercooler, 550cc injectors and a TD05 18G just now but i am looking at doing the MD321 route. Will settle engine in first and then add a nice FMIC with reversed intake manifold. If i end up with 450/450 i will be happy but my Hyper single won't take it or the gearbox. One step at a time Yes i can't wait, i will re-map myself but as for now i will get aroung 360BHP i recon. When you get back you have to nip across to see me.

I will do you an amazing deal mate check out my latest work Latest work I have just taken on sponsorship on the forum but i aint here to shove my business down your neck. I own a MY04 WRX and have just had a fancy engine build done, still running in. -
Nice set up Chris sounds like a reliable way to get the big power I am well happy with mine after the rebuild by Steve, still running in but runs perfect. 450miles done not long now

Craig had my full wash procedure including thew engine bay and door and boot shuts. Then i carried out a 2 stage paint correction on car as a single stage wasnt going to meet the job. Car was protected with Blackfire polish and wax and the inside was cleaned and protected with 303 Aerospace Dressing and 303 Fabric Guard. Glass was done with Nanolex Urban. For those people that are looking for a protection that is going to last for ages i am currently adding G-Tecnique products to my detailing products. Maybe not the best looking product when applied but very durable.

Thanks very much Craig. There was a vast improvment made on your car.
