  1. It was the idle spring in the forge dump valve that had snapped, this is the smaller of the 2 springs and is a cheap fix thanks for the help
  2. So the dump valve could be causing the idling issues? Its a forge dump valve, ill go to halfords tomorrow if I cant get carb cleaner is there anything else I can use
  3. Help folks ive not been on here for a while as the wife is the main driver of the subaru now, I jumped in tonight and anitialy noticed that it wasn't idling properly as the revs were dropping down to about 400rpm then rising to around 1100rpm, also when driving it sounds like the dump valve is hissing when I lift of even at about 1500rpm this never happened before, all ideas welcome on fixing this, I work away from home and im leaving tomorrow night so time is short to fix this, my un educated thought is the dump valve piston has stuck but would this cause the idling problem it an 03 wrx

  13. Hi as a user of a few Subaru forums and a paid up member of this forum is it just me or is this forum getting stagnant, for example there are very few new threads "WEEKLY" if not even monthly, what do use think???
  14. Any one any thoughts on doing the coolant? My uneducated thoughts were draining from the tap/plug at the bottom of the radiator (newage) then running water through the top of the radiator for a while, then running water though the expansion tank for a while by this time "hopefully" it will be running out clear, then replacing the tap/plug and filling up the radiator till the expansion tank is at the desired level. Can anyone tell me if this is way of the mark??

  20. I'm not two clued up on all the versions, as above I bought the blob eye scoop and under tray to fit my 04, just a query how much should I be paying to get the scoop painted silver
  21. Just got one of eBay, pretty steep though £110 with delivery still to get it painted its a genuine part and the undertray is pretty pointless without it,so when its on in a few weeks I'll probs forget about the money I hope!!
  22. That's as I thought when it arrived, where did u buy the sti scoop as I've heard mixed reviews about the fit of the fibre class scoops
  23. As above I would like to know if anyone has fitted a sti undertray without fitting a sti scoop
  24. Boost control solenoid I had the same problem a while back they are cheapish so I would try that first
