  1. After that nasty metal pole backed into me in my work car park a few weeks back (I was there, I saw it getting closer and closer through the back window!) which chipped and cracked the paint to around the diameter of a coffee mug, I'm finally getting it back from the bodywork shop today. Woohoo! Gutted I missed the Jap meet though although it will be nice not to drive my dads boring Corolla anymore! I saw one of those Halfords adverts on during the break on top gear where it gives the impression you just turn up and they do a quick spray job and then big bash bosh - good as new etc... How wrong was I? They actually use external local companies to come down to the store and do the work and for my scuff I was told it would be at least a 3-4 week wait and it would cost bottom line £150! Yikes. I thought surely there isn't that many other people like me who are rubbish at parking? Just as I was leaving the store to look elsewhere ther spotty Halfrauds employee ushered me into a corner and put a piece of paper in my top pocket with a phone number on which belonged to "his mate Dave" who runs a bodywork/spray shop and could do it at half the price. As sceptical as I was I thought I'd give it a try and I was suprised not to find some 18 year old greasemonkey cowboy type but actually a really nice guy who has been in the business for quite some time. He quoted me £80 and I have only had to wait a week and a half before getting the scoob in there so I'm looking forward to seeing the results this evening! If I'm happy with the result I'll post the guys details on here is case anyone else needs anything done locally. I've got some blue dashboard LED's to put in this weekend too so I'm really looking forward to getting that sorted too.

  12. Dammit - I got severely held up and didn't get there until 3.30! I only saw one scoob there (dark blue non turbo), but couldn't make out who it belonged to as the place was pretty busy so I went home but had a nice drive there and back anyway! I saw a gorgeous scoob behind me on the way back going down the bath road. Was a Blue WRX STI. Was it anyone from here? Mine is a noisy black WRX turbo. Did many people turn up? Lovely day for it!

  21. Waggons aren't really for me, but I'm sure when I get myself a dog I'll need a bigger back end to keep it in Well assuming all is good tonight the should be a new scooby on the block in Reading! It better be good the distance I'm travelling to see it...
  22. Here there, I'm in Reading and I too am a new member. I don't have my scooby just yet but I have a few to look at over this week but after taking so long to sell my MR2 I'm raring to get my first scooby like a kid in a toy shop! Ive posted on the general forum too about this but if anyone can reccomend a good insurance company I would bevery grateful! Also - if you're a Berkshire local and you have a turbo for sale (not waggon) then send me a message and let me know as I havent decided on one just yet. Cheers
