Does anyone know if the cold weather has an effect on Clifford alarms? Mine has kept me (and most of my street) up all last night and I can't seem to work out what the problem is, although someone said to me it could be to do with the extreme cold weather. Apparently you can adjust the sensitivity? Not sure how easy it is to do as I don't have a copy of the manual. Any hints/tips would be gladly appreciated before I get a visit from plod and served an asbo or lynched by my angry neighbours.... Thanks!

I don't know the correct name for them (so please correct me if I'm wrong),but I'm after some of the studs/pins that hold the interior trim/carpet in place. I haven't tried Subaru yet but I wondered if anyone on here knows of any going (or what the correct terminology is for them so I can start looking for them on Ebay). My car is a 1991 turbo import. Had to revert back from a full decat to a standard exhaust system a while back to get through the MOT and I couldn't believe the amount of power that I lost as a result. Are there any cheap-ish mods I can do to try and claw back some BHP? (Car is a 93 classic WRX)

I'm looking at having a go at re-spraying my wheels. Are there any guides/tips/hints on here that I could seek assistance from? or has anyone done it before that could go through the basics with me? Ive got a pretty good idea but just want to make sure I know what I'm doing!

I got pulled over in April for the same thing, gutted as my points had just expired from a previous car and now I have another 3 points and £60 fine. After almost a year of living near a police station and passing police cars almost every day I didn't think there was a problem with it. Guess they were looking for something to do that day... They made me drive home with the front windows down - in the rain! The ticket said "driver was not inposition to have clear view" B*llocks! Thing is other than turning up at the police station and asking them to test it there is no way of knowing if they are illegal or not.

I completely sympathise with you mate! If you look at my recent previous posts on here I have ranting and raving about how difficult these parts are to get hold of for the last month or two. I was looking to replace my whole system to get my car through the MOT and the main dealer told me it would cost two grand brand new! It's a complete waste of time going to all the exhaust centres as none of them managed to find anything for me and I tried all of them. Your best bet is to try ebay or do what I did and use one of the partfinder sites (got my downpipe delivered the next day for £50) as if they are the wrong bit then you can return it.
