  6. I'm going! Unless my car breaks down on the way there... I'll be on my tod so say hello if you see a billy no mates with a black scoob...
  7. Wow looks very nice and tidy! Happy birthday Smiley!
  8. I think you may have got a couple of sizes to big, I can't see you at all....
  9. Hey how was the meet? Weather was a bit rubbish yesterday. Gutted I couldn't be at this one as I live very close by but my scoob is still off the road hence my moaning in other various posts... Hope there is another meet there sometime! Any pics?
  10. Every month I put this and the Berkshire meet in my calendar, and every time there is some kind of problem with my car that stops me from being there! I WILL be there one day, and it will be a blooming miracle! Thats my goal
  11. I know that pub, I was there the other day. Great little place with a nice beer garden! You thinking of having a meet there?
  12. If you think they would fit my 93 classic then that would be brilliant thanks! Can you message me your number and ill give youa buzz.
  13. Anyone know of anyone or anywhere local I can find a full standard exhaust system for my scooby including cat etc. My car is an 1993 WRX import. If anyone is in the Reading area and has one they want to sell or knows of any going please get in touch - would be massively appreciated! Cheers.
  14. Check out Berkshire car sounds in Reading. Best in the business.
  15. Hey I'm near there. Not the guy you saw though! Where abouts are you and what scooby do you drive?
  16. is that you Kylie, popping out from behind the silver Hawkeye?
  17. Don't worry, I wear mine all year round just as a precaution lol
  18. Thank Amanda. I used to work in Burghfield for a few months last year. A bit out in the sticks but a lovely place to drive around!
  19. Glad you had a good meet guys, Looking forward to seeing all the piccies. I wish I could have made it along but one of my radiator hoses split which resulted in my car spitting out water all over the engine and overheating while emitting enough steam to make anyone think they were in an 80's rock video.... Quite scary at first but glad it's nothing too serious (fingers crossed!) I'm just glad it happened close to home. It seems like every time there is any kind of a meet on my car pulls a sickie! I'll bring a doctors/mechanics note next time...
  20. Kylie you're such a bad influence lol Don't worry I kept a spot warm for you on the naughty step to hang your head in shame with me Funny though I can see why admins might worry about the legal implications a thread like this might have but I thought it was a good idea anyway especially as I've seen it work so well on other specific car-dedicated sites and they are all still up and running...
  21. I guess the idea was more to create a directory/point of reference of "member approved" local services
  22. Have you had a good/bad experience with a local car service? Want to reccomend someone or warn others? I'll start the ball rolling... I had some minor bumper paintwork damage and for £80 (very reasonable) this guy completely re-sprayed my whole back bumper and did a fantastic job. Can't reccomend him enough. Here are his contact details: D.P Carroll finishing services (based in Sindlesham) dpcarroll@talktalk.net Tel 0118 9782652 / 0771 835693 (Mob)
  23. Well pleased with the result! I admit to knowing nothing at all when it comes to bodywork/paint jobs but rather than just patch up the part where the paint had come away he did the entire bumper for me and it looks amazing! I'm going to start the thread now about local services so I'll start the ball rolling with this guys details.
  24. No probs! Once I get my car back later and I have something to start it with of course
  25. Beware of stationary objects, they are a menace! thats what I say... Yea I think it would be a great idea to have a section where we can praise, name or shame the best and the worst local places to have various bits and bobs done on the car. Weather it's an MOT or a full engine transplant, it would be good to compare prices arcoss our local area for future reference
