  5. we had a problem similar to this on the rally car, sometimes it would start on the button, then it would decide to just turn over and not start, usually at the stage start !!!! but would start with a shove....????

turned out to be the cam sensor. fitted another and never had any issues since

  6. glad to help, and get your car back on the road again. :(

    suspension next? ;)

    cheers

    barry

After 17 months off the road and a double rebuild in that time thats the first 190 miles on the clock of the run in with no issue :(

The run home along the coastal roads were boring, slow, and tedious :( . But at the same time it felt good to be back behind the wheel again.

    Mucho appreciated lads!!

  7. absolutely gutted for you callum, it was a unique car......

but the main thing is that you and ian got out the car unhurt....

cant believe what we seen when we arrived.........

but just glad we could help.....

    barry

  8. the steering lock is probably bolted on with sheer headed bolts, they tighten up to a set torque the snap the heads off so you cant get them out easily, but can be unscrewed with a hammer and a centre punch . then get another barrel/key/housing fitted with new bolts from a subaru dealer. i have a barrel/key/housing on the car i am breaking if you cant get one,

    cheers
