  1. Prob agree with this, but good job overall. Would be good and better to see it in the flesh. Like the green wing mirrors. Cheere
  2. Big difference with the rear whiteline bar fitted, maybe some whiteline rear droplinks as well . Good looking wrx you have there. Enjoy .
  3. Goood luck with whatever u do next.
  4. Buses are crap but stick the old ipod on, sit back and think about driving your scoob. It might work as your bouncing along the road stopping every 2 mins. I think I enjoy my scoob more as I dont use it for communting to work each day.....I think. I get to work via leg power so at least its free. Stick up scoop pics when ye get it done.
  5. Lovely looking car. I once spoke to a garage owner down this way who had a lovely black hawk sti. He told me he never drove it. I asked him why buy it. He replied 'because he could'. Aah well....I wish lol.
  6. Looking good mate . Think its the right colour choice. Now go and give it a wash and get some good pics up so we can all enjoy this black beauty. Cheers.
  7. No idea about Audis but that looks a very nice scoob, great colour too.
  8. Cheers for the reply. This any use http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170595642344&fromMakeTrack=true Think this is an electrical gauge from looking up the interweb. Another site mentioned boost sensor, harness and link controller for these gauges but no mention of these in the ebay add. Ive contacted the seller. Wait and see.
  9. Renewal through, same as last year, neither up nor down. Breaks down as £466 for the scoob, all mods declared and £204 for the daily driver.
  10. If they are meant to be good in slightly wet conditions might be alright then if your not pushing it. Just need to avoid big dark clouds heading your way lol.
  11. After fitting the sportscat was thinking of fitting a boost gauge to keep an eye on things. Is this one fine for the job? http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=68&products_id=1403 Does anyone have this fitted? What do you think of it etc. Whats the difference between mechanical and electrical gauges? Cheers.
  12. I suppose I would be thinking if I had tyres such as the R888 and was out on a dry day then the scottish weather did its norm and started raining heavy, then that would be a concern. Having said that im pretty sure Ive seen cars at the glasgow meet with these tyres on so maybe ok.
  13. Whiteline rear bar on last nov, makes some difference .
  14. You will be hard pushed to find a white bug let alone a sti prodrive model. Go and check it out. Let us all know how you get on.
  15. I think you have prob made your mind up in the tone of the post but, if you trade it in you will prob be offered a low trade in price and if you dismantle then as said by others you may well end up with bits lying around, and you will need to get another car. So if whats needing done isnt too much then keep the car and enjoy her, after all we are just turning a wee corner with the weather and spring/summer isnt far off to have her all sorted and enjoying her.
  16. I bought a used sti scoop from jap performance parts and as it was used with minor flaking/chips I had it painted before putting it on the car. It was about 40 quid to get it sprayed and it was as good as new when done. So I say def get it painted, much cheaper than sourcing another scoop and you would prob have to get a used one painted anyway so more expense you dont need. Cheers.
  17. Right, been out for a test blast tonight and I can confirm that I now have a wide grin on my face. I can feel a difference with the snakehead on and hearing the turbo bigtime is great. The car just seems faster..Woo-Hoo. Happy daze. Cheers.
  18. Well, the drive home was a bit pish due to a huge amount of traffic, including crawling along the M8 from Paisley to Erskine at about 20mph, so in a sense of letting her go, it didnt happen. But...Im pleased with my day and the work thats been done. Gone is my standard downpipe with cat and gone is my second decat pipe and its replaced with the snakehead 100cell sportscat downpipe back to the centre section. Willie and David are gents and kept me informed and answered my questions and didnt mind me hanging about watching what they were doing. I didnt want to be in their face too much so retired to the comfort of the portakabin with leather 2 seater, telly, heater and playstation and mug of coffee, and popped back into the workshop now and again to take a nosey at what was happening. The snakehead is 3" and my centre is 2.5" so some time was spent getting that together. I def can hear my turbo more which is cool and got a different sound when i did manage to get my foot down for a few seconds. Dont think the car sounds louder overall at idle but maybe a bit when cruising. Will have more chance at the weekend to check it all out. Will get some pics up as I need to update my 'my car' thread anyway. Cheers to Meercat for service, knowledge, banter and coffee!! Haha James, I did actually wonder that I might see you on the way over. P.s. I did enjoy seeing something blue and fat when I was there also.
  19. Off to Meercat tomorrow for my sportscat downpipe.... A day off work getting stuff done to your scoob....aah
  20. Sportscat. Machine polish. Thats it so far I think.
  21. Hairdryer ..check. Fishing line ..check. Steady hand and patience .. check. Will give it a go this weekend. Cheers.
  22. Seen that before, how pissed off would you be if that happpened to your car??!!
  23. Admiral £670 with all mods declared but on the multi-car policy with provisional driver on the other car as well. Due next month so will see what happens then.
  24. Brilliant guys, thanks for the replies.
  25. Shaz passed this today. Stirling Road, Camelon. Its still sitting there, heavy passenger side impact and rear, hit a tree perhaps?? As said, hope no-one badly hurt.
