  1. hi folks, having always been into cosworths and classic ford escorts, then classic escorts wi cosworth engines fitted,i have been doing some fabrication work for sw motorsport and decided to buy a classic ,so bought a v3 sti with a damaged engine so theres a new engine getting put together at sw motorsport as we speak, not crazy horsepower but ample!!

hope to meet you all soon

It's about time you got yourself a scoob. Welcome aboard m8 B)

  2. Don't think you would lose any noticeable lag in fitting a STI TMIC. It's the longer pipework that comes with

a FMIC that gives most of its lag. How much of a difference are we talking about ?

Loving the red scoop splitter thingy <_<

  3. Jac I find it hard to believe that you took 10secs off a lap time at Kames purely on a geometry change, unless your car was so badly set up that it was pointing in all directions, which I also doubt.

John at Progrip's business is is 99% alignment and handling thats why most dealers in the area use him. His prices are also very reasonable for the service provided. I have not had any experience of the other guys, so cannot comment, but plenty others have been more than happy with the service of the rest of those mentioned. I would add that I am totally unbiased as I have no sponsorship or other ties with Progrip other than thats who I use to set up my race car and road car, Jac cannot be as impartial.

There are lots of people in this area that can provide this service and are more than just competant. Kenny Brown in Hillington is another, Duncan at Hypertech as already mentioned and Graham at Whiteline. It comes down to who you feel comfortable with and cost. The average road car doesnt need any experiments carried out on it, the settings to make a road Impreza handle well, while still retaining reasonable tyre wear are hardly rocket science. The good thing is that there are so many choices in this area all of which will provide a good service.

The first time i recorded at Kames was a 90sec under instruction of Ian Gemmell how built the track.

After having the car set up with Graham at Whiteline over the season the fastest time recorded was

a 80.8 That makes a 10sec improvement. Now lets not turn this in to tit for tat.

Dunk was asking about Whiteline and i have gave a honest opinion and stand by everything i said.

  4. Im almost sure there is a whiteline place in Dunfermline, one of the guys from ABZ scoobs was telling me he had used them, Maybe send a PM to Cusco kid as this is in his area he is bound to know more about it

Graham ( Mr Whiteline ) is based in Dunfermline and he has a purpose built unit dedicated for suspension research and development,

suspension upgrades, corner weighting and geometry setup. When Graham set my car up i took ten seconds of my lap time at Kammes

and he has looked after the car ever since. Whiteline's business is handling why would you go anywhere else.

  5. If you are looking to get out of the scooby scene i would go for a Elise or a Mini, you will have

lott's of fun in in any of them i did, but i know deep down you are Scooby through and through.

1st on my list is that type R it looks the dogs dangles with all the right bitts. The bug looks

good too but i'm biased :)

I presume you have sold your car.

  6. i fancy going, not been up yet this year.

scoob wont be mapped yet so if i go i will take the works van!

check this funny link of the van

    before it was painted.

Thats a few times i have seen that vid and it still makes me PMSL ;)
