  3. I've heard the the Mintex 1155's are really bad for sqeaul, and the 1144's less so.. But will report back with findings once fitted and tested.. Apparently dont squeal when up to temp ive got the 1155s on just now got to say no squel at all , they were put on the morning of the highland run which was a fair while a go now , i would buy them again no probs kenny
  4. godspeed i think are still doing there group buy over on scoobynet which will get you pads and discs for that price , as for ebc stuff a while a go i put ebc grooved and drilled discs and red stuff pads on got to say total shi*e , had two incidents when they failed all together not good they just cant cope with a lanark run , check scoobynet m8 kenny

  11. yep red stuff total sh**e , cant handle the fast lanark runs, had total brake fade wae nae stopping on 2 seperate runs . got mintex on now absolute night and day have not had any issues so far and will replace wae mintex again, on the highland run they were spot on and they were only put on an hour b4 i left airdrie to go to inverness so little bedding in time either kenny

  13. as a few of you now know im going for a 2.5 block , what i keep seeing is forged pistons at 2 different sizes 99.5 and rebored 100mm whats the difference , whats the best option and what difference does it make . thanks in advanve for your answers. kenny

  21. i bought a 2.0 block of pistonheads recently with not a lot of milage on it ,as a few of you know my bottom end had a fair wee rattle coming of it.so a replacement block had to be put in as i had piled up in the garage all the mods to take me well into the 300hp region , vf 35 tmic etc etc . anyway got the block in eventualy it was started run about in for a few days and began to rattle even worse than the old original block turns out the crank is tighter than a natts chuff. so moral of the story here buy cheap buy twice . now definately going down the road of a brand new 2.5 block nae second hand shi*e . roger clark is my first choice from sourcing a block , if anyone knows any where else i can find one yell out . my original plan was to put a 2.5 block in ......... fu**ing should have done in the first place kenny
