Hi, my rex came from Malta as well. She is an 07 model and I bought her direct through a company in HUll. The company imported her, did all the paperwork etc, got her UK Certificate of Conformity so first registration was in the Uk (like yours), so if you have one of them you shouldnt have a problem. I have never had problems with insurance or anything else - my insurance is currently with Priviledge and is less than my road tax - how ironic is that - around £370 pa. One thing just to remember is that the service schedules are slightly different to a UK built car. Hope that helps. About an hour from you in Northants so wave if you see a 555 no plate!

Yoh newbie in a scooby! Know that smile - still got it two and a half years after picking up my brand spanking new rex (wrx) although mine is a very girlie aqua blue - love 'er to bits.

OH PURLEASE!!!!! KEEP IT - you will regret it otherwise. I don't have kids but I have dogs and they love my scooby. If you have a scooby will you ever be contented with something urbane, beige and dull - NO. Sorry, will get off my soapbox now - debs

Well, I have a couple of answers: 1. When someone says when did you get to drive your bloke's car, I say "actually its mine and I bet you can't afford one" 2. When my other half gets to drive my rex (wrx) (and that's not often) and get nice comments I smile sweetly and say "thanks, its mine actually" And on the flip side to the macho bloke car thing (sorry guys - I can say this as my bloke also has a wrx) , I have a mate who thinks that women who drive georgous cars like our scoobies are awesome. There we go - for me, I don't give a damn what anyone else thinks - I drive my scooby cos I chose her, I bought her and I just LURVE driving her! Hi all, scary how these differ! I'm erm, a very young 47 (moving on), 75% NCD, got an '07 2.5 WRX import from Malta - with full UK COC - tracker fitted as found that most insurance companies wouldn't touch her without one and thatcham cat one alarm. Hunt around every year for deals as I do with my motorbike and always got a deal for less than £400, which is hilarious considering my road tax is more expensive LOL. Debs

Hi, had scoobies for the last 8 years and hunt around every year for the best deal - last year it was Liverpool Victoria (LV) and this year its Priviledge but have always managed to get a fully comp deal with protected no claims for less than £400 on my 2.5 WRX, but then again I'm a smidge older than you lol. Hey any of you petrol heads heard of Mike Hawthorn the Farnham Flyer???? First British F1 champion. Was killed on the Hogs Back near Farnham in January 1959 (3 days after he took my mum to hairdressers in his ferrari) I went to the 50th anniversary of his death in Jan with my folks who were his friends obviously, would be good to keep Mike's memory alive. Anyone scooby heads interested. email me!!!

Bad josh to lose a mate in such a way. I was lucky, in the snow recently my other half in his scooby got tanked off the road by a massive 4 wheeler. He is not amused by damage but still around thankfully and also his scooby - so all feeling for you losing a mate, its cr*p - my best mate died unexpetedly when I was on hols.
