  2. Lovely looking motor welcome
  3. Original post Well I was thinking off selling but have decided the RB5 will be staying since I got bored between crimbo and new year and bought a few very expensive parts rolleyes.gif I have the engine now all I need is trasmission to cope and I will hopefully have a RB500 biggrin.gif The car will also be going off the road for a few shortly while I get rid of the rust and give her a full respray wink.gif I have actually stuck to the plan and the car has come off the road and this is how it looked this morning
  4. Yes give me a shout when it's done.
  5. well said sir. Have to admit i love that green colour though. 25k though i will build a classic that will kill that for a hell of alot less
  6. I also used AWD not sure how much they were though. Have a look on there site. remember to quote SIdc if you do use them
  7. amazing how Cullenmin just appears when you mention his name, its about time your car was finished. Im loking to have mine back on the road by 2011 so i can't realy say much although mine is getting a fair bit of work done. Hoping to have it to a bare shell by May the it's off for the cage. Would get more done but im in Bloody Copenhagen bloody work crap
  8. is it for the wife?
  9. no chance il pay somebody else to do it if it takes effort Speaking of cullenmin whats happening with his car?
  10. No more of a drip than you
  11. fair point il get back in my hole
  12. Had a few bits arrive V6 sti heads which bit getting a port and polish and a different set of cams. Planned where to locate the custom made aquamist water injection resevoir. Put the CDB on the stand ready for stripping. bought an angle grinder along with various disks and a wire brush attachment. As if i didn't have enough to do with the car i bought myself this as another project Also got my runabout finished and back on the road You would hardly know it had been damaged apart from the bloody drip when on the motorway in torrential rain ggrrr Question. What is the best method of removing sound proofing?
  13. You must have had a proper look to clock the front splitter. If it's the fibre glass P1 splitter just cut it to the same shape as the bumper as it has huge sections that are unecessary.
  14. you selling again Col
  15. You not have the standards downpipe to fit for mot day? Or if you can find a friendly garage it may pass? I tested mine a while ago to see what it was. Before i was mapped and it was 780 the legal limit being 250. Never tested it since mapping but recon it probably is lower due to running a bit better.
  16. yes indeed he will be
  17. yes read that also not sure if we are getting the whole story though. If it cost 10k to get it back on the road it is still an absolute bargain
  18. Your project aint looking to bad eigther I have to admit i just don't have the disposible income to be able to compete . 90% of my build will be done by me/mates
  19. Im looking to upgrade my alcons to K sport 8 pot 356mm. Which cost about £800-£900 and you will get £500 or more for your Alcons so actually only 3-4 hundred to upgrade
  20. Of course I am best subaru colour there is. It will still look RB5 like just witha cage and no interior and slightly more oomph Notsosmall yes it does need more than t-cut. Been at the PUG today this is how it looks so far should be back together and painted 2moro hopefully. Found out the rear axel is bent as well now Glad everybody like the project name
  21. Correct the only thing the pug is getting is a new door, winscreen and a bit of t-cut
  22. Vent is in the roof and extractor fans are external
  23. Thats because it is a spray booth
  24. Well after using the car every day for the last 20 months or so iv decided to make it more off a toy for trackdays and weekend blasts only. So I bought myself a sensible car which i did this to the day i picked it up Aquired myself a nice little barn to work on the car about 1/2 a mile from the house Plan will be to strip it to a bare shell. Fit a weld in cage from custom cages Carry out a few custom body modifications to loose as much weight as possible and aid aerodynamics. Paint the whole car inside and out Also have to strip my CDB and send it away for a bit of 2.1 treatment. I also need to aquire full DCCD drivetrain setup to be fitted with straight cut synchro PPG gear set. Started stripping the car today. Still undecided on set up for Turbo, fuelling and heads
