Have had to deal with Admiral customer services a couple of times in last month due to a cock up on there part and if it wasnt for the fact they are a good bit cheaper than the nearest quote i got i would have cancelled my policy and went elsewhere, found them really unhelpful so far and keep feeling like when i dial their number its a direct link to India!!! Seriously doubt il choose them again after this.

Experienced the new limits first hand over last couple of days, complete and utter joke!!! Another is the law dual carriageway reduced to 50mph yet the single lane stretches surrounding it remain NSL so 60mph

That depends on the insurer mate but that is not what im trying to find out. What i am trying to find out is for example: Driver A insured on Car A with driving other cars extension Driver B insured on Car B which happens to be an import Would Driver A be covered to drive Car B using their driving other cars extension?

Quick question for the insurance people. A lot of insurers wont cover imports as the car on the policy however if that policyholder has the driving other cars extension with that policy would this exclude driving imports as from what I can remember every policy I have had states "Can also drive a vehicle not owned by policyholder providing has permission of vehicle owner" or words to that effect. When i turned 25 my insurance halved in price and that was going from tpft to fully comp aswell. Partly due to new insurer having an over 25 limit on the car.

Looking to fit oil pressure and oil temp gauges to my pre-facelift classic, was wondering what people have used/prefer with regards using a sandwich plate or adaptor at oil pressure switch? Also will have three gauges fitted whats the best position/pod for these?

My last uk turbo was running 255bhp which is similar to a standard(ish) wrx depending on year thats why im debating if its worth the extra expense insurance wise to have a wrx over a uk again

Still to try the specialists but from the companies i have tried so far its not looking too good. Basically trying to find out if there is a big difference between a uk turbo and wrx and if its worth paying the extra for.

Talking about a WRX mate, STI's are over double what im being quoted for a UK Turbo to insure and beyond my current budget

Looking at getting another classic Impreza, previously had a uk turbo 2000 but recently been looking at WRXs but difference in insurance is around 30%, is it really worth the extra to have a wrx? Anyone owned both and how did you think they compared? Cheers Gaz

Looking for someone in Lanarkshire area who has a version 4/98 turbo Impreza who would be able to let me compare my vacuum pipework with theirs as im not 100% mines is correct. Or someone who knows how mines should be to take a quick look at mine to re-assure me it is indeed correct. Cheers Gaz

Only mods i have so far is full decat stainless exhaust. Not planning any internal engine mods on this engine or mega boost. Cheers Del, got everything stripped down just need to get correct parts ordered then its time to go back in.

Ok my car is a 1998 uk turbo registered 07/08/98 according to plate on car its got an ej20gn engine but from what i can find online this engine was stopped in 97 and the car should have an ej20g engine instead which would have the thinner 0.6mm gasket unline the ej20gn which my car appears to have which would be 1.6mm Any ideas what one will be correct for mine? Old gaskets appear to be 1mm once removed after being compressed however the kits i am looking at with 1.6mm gaskets appear to be including spark plug seals for coil on plug where as my engine has centre coilpack on manifold. As some of you may know my head gasket let go during the last run i was on and currently got my engine stripped, its a 98 uk turbo but have a chance of sti heads, would it be worthwhile going for these whilst the engine is out? If so would i need to change ecu for diff cam profile? (if there is one?)

Whilst ive got my engine out planning on painting the block and manifold to tidy it up a bit, whats best stuff to use and is there any guides for doing this? cheers

Alright folks, couple of quick questions, Will all EJ20 blocks bolt on fine to v3/4 heads? Also whats preventing me using a different engine (ie v1/2/5/6) with my current ecu which is v3/v4? would i need to replace full loom or would i be able to swap the manifolds over? Just trying to figure out options available before i take my engine out following head gasket failure. Also i had slight piston slap from engine due to being a 1998, how is this normally rectified?
