  1. If they were good enough for the marching roman armies, they'll be good enough for Oxon Scooby Crew! Compulsory attire you think? Socks optional or compulsory? Quite fancy some sock braces now I think about it...
  2. Errrr, hope not! Glad to hear it's all coming together mate! Will keep my eyes peeled for you out and about
  3. VERY hard to get it looking right if you do it yourself... tried it once on a Fiesta waaaaaay back and ended up having to pay out to have it removed after 6 months and done properly - cost me nearly twice as much than just having it done properly.
  4. Pop me down for a stack of variations on cheese rolls: cheese, cheese salad, cheese & pickle etc etc... we'll end up over run with crisps and pop otherwise!
  5. Cracking shots (as ever! ). If anyone who was there fancies doing a write up for True Grip that would be fantastic as I'm keen to get more in from the Scottish Regions!
  6. Thank you. Convoy it is then... Apologies in advance for the stroppy little bugger clinging to my leg!
  7. Right, stupid question time... Do we have to all arrive at the same time? As much as I love a convoy, considering the time I'll have to leave mine to get to Swindon for 6:50, I doubt I'm gonna be able to keep the lad a. Awake and b. Amused for all that time! Would there be an issue with getting onto the stand if we came a little later?
  8. More expensive than a respray but then at least it can be reverted back if needs be.
  9. Ooooh, they look mean as fook! I'm liking that
  10. Depends how old, an old mustang for example, that would look mint!
  11. Looks good mate!
  12. Fair enough then. Surely though BAY is about as close as you can get visually to BAT, that's gotta count for something?
  13. A VERY quick look at it in PS so the gold's probably nearer yellow than gold and the blue's really badly selected but it gives you the idea... Imho, that wouldn't be a good look BUT... ...that could work!
  14. Would imagine that L555 BAY being so close to L555 BAT would go for a bit more than that!
  15. Mmmmmmm shiny!!!! Make sure you get some pics up before, during and after fitment mate.
  16. Yep, completely anonymous IIRC I can guarantee though that anything you put isn't half as bad as some of the answers that appeared on the RO's test one!
  17. ...and was posted over two years ago! The car's probably rusted away by now!
  18. Alright guys, for those of you that haven't noticed the notice from Phil, there's a user survey here to get your opinion about the club, its direction etc etc. It'll only take a few mins to complete so please do as it'll really help the club and give everyone a clearer picture about what you all want going forward... as a little incentive, there's a year's free membership up for grabs too! Cheers, Stu
  19. They look mint mate! don't spose you know the paint code do you?
  20. I may struggle to make it as well. Just waiting to hear back from a client about a rush job they need done... Can't really afford to turn it down tbh but if they get back to me soon, I may be able to get it wrapped up beforehand.
  21. Cheers guys! The way my shoulder feels today, I think I'm going to need to look into a rotary polisher! Just waiting for the condensation to evaporate then i'm back to it!
  22. There's these but I've no idea about price though, sorry.
  23. A few weeks back now I was asking if anyone knew any detailers locally completely forgetting that I had this week booked off work. So, I made a start today on what I can see already is going to become a 'quick wash' of epic proportions!!!! Starting at lunch time I rinsed > washed (2BM with wool mitt) > rinsed > washed the wheels > rinsed > washed the rubbers, seals and shuts > rinsed > liquid clay wash > rinsed > 'real' clay > rinsed > dried and then cracked out the Almighty Werkstatt Kit! Damn that stuff is good!!!! Managed to get the Prime Acrylic done and then a coat of the Acrylic Jett... got one complete coat of the Acrylic Glos applied and then decided to go for another coat but the failing light got the better of me! (will hit her with four complete passes with the Glos by the time I'm done) 'scuse the crappy pics, my arms were shaking like buggery after all that and the light was pretty poor! Not off to a bad start though methinks! Round two tomorrow. Was going to take the wheels off to clean them properly but having looked at them closer, they'll need dipping or blasting and a proper refurb (wheel cleaner took a layer of paint with it!!! ) so I'll finish up the exterior, sort the glass and get to washing the interior with the Vax - it the weather stays as it has been that is!
  24. Would imagine that if it's been deleted it would be because it was on behalf of a third party. Whether you know them to be trustworthy or otherwise it's irrelevant, the rules are the rules and it's only in the interest of members such as yourself that they're applied consistently across the board. We couldn't realistically have one set of rules for more established members and another for people who have been about for say, 18 months and only recently passed the 50 post minimum. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?act=boardrules <--I'm on my mobile so can't switch between pages all that easily to paste the exact quote but it's all outlined in the forum guidelines.
  25. I'm away for a few days mate but I'll sort you with details once I'm back.
