  1. That's good of them isn't it! Another testament to how well they look after their customers, another gold star in the book!
  2. Vimmy, I would normally say Cotswolds too but they don't have four wheel alignment - IIRC the cars go to Carringtons for that bit
  3. Carringtons on the A40 just outside Eynsham - good prices too!
  4. It's only over the fence from mine but yeah, feel free to swing by for a coffee before hand
  5. Looks like it's just you and me then mate. I'll give you a bell (or send you a text) nearer the time. So just to clarify, there will be no SIDC stand at the motor show but you're all welcome to join Matty and I if you fancy it.
  6. Errrrr, he was on here on Monday Ed?!? Dont tell me youmiss him already!
  7. We're usually wrapped up before 9pm is that helps?
  8. Hi guys, This one's snuck up on us this year with one thing and another but Witney Motor Show is on 1st July at 6pm and I'm wondering if anyone is planning on heading down? It's quite late in the day but we MAY be able to sort another stand at the event so if there's enough interest, we'll keep trying to sort it. Failing that, it's a damn good excuse for a mini meet! If you're interested, let us know below asap please. Cheers, Stu
  9. I'm guessing BBC2 has different programming north of the border? Wasn't on from what I could see. Tried searching the alternative BBC channels but only found BBC2 Wales.
  10. Do it!
  11. Oxon meets usually fall on the first Sunday so July's meet will clash with the Combe charity event... Just waiting on word from Big D about how he wants to proceed. Good call on the upcoming events list btw!
  12. Not as yet. I've looked into it and also at dates but I need to get TG wrapped up at the mo It WILL happen though.
  13. That's the thing with a lot of these new estates as they get built on cheap land, generally just outside the postcode of a rougher area and with a large provision for social housing. The houses get bought cheap and when everyone moves in, parks their shiny new cars on their drives that end up being stolen (because of the proximity to rougher areas with less desirable cars to steal), they're surprised, end up moving out and the area goes into decline. Happens everywhere. It's not quite that black and white but you get the idea anyway
  14. Don't suppose you've any more details do you... one's that could possibly make it into TG?
  15. You thought about getting a mk3 golf tdi for a couple of hundred quid and SORNing the scoob for a bit? Even when your Mrs passes her test, insurance on a turbo scoob will be astronomical, even as a named driver. I average 65 miles a day (45 of that is just to and from work) and it's the sole reason I still have the GX as opposed to a turbo scoob but I recently bought (and sold on) a mk4 golf tdi and although scruffy at first, it just kept going and going and going... when I got it, I paid for it, taxed it, MOTd it and insured it all for under £500. Did some work on it (mainly cosmetic) whilst I owned it and when it sold, I still turned a profit! Can't beat free motoring
  16. Well it cost me a tenner in burnt fuel through frustration... I took to making LOADS of noise to entertain myself!
  17. Lol, well if the quality of the work on that bypass is anything to go by, I would be inclined to agree!
  18. Did anyone notice this at the time? I would love to get hold of a copy!
  19. Upski!
  20. I'm going to have to pull out as well I'm afraid, got to be up near Bedford for 10 - can't see me getting back before mid-afternoon. Hope it's a good'un!
  21. Lol, if being told to leave by the photographer was appreciation, then yeah, they loved my efforts! Didn't fancy it with milk but I did compare one or two without and shock of all shocks, they all tasted of peppermint!
  22. Never had it before, I'm assuming it's the air con in the courtesy car... jet another reason to hate the poxy little thing!!!!
  23. Not forum related but I recently art directed a photoshoot for a peppermint tea brand - for it we needed tea, and lots of it so I set about making 18 different types of peppermint tea (how they possibly could've tasted any different to each other I don't know!!!)... ...it was only when I set one in place for the first set of shots that I realised I had put milk in every single one of them!!!
