Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you fancied the idea of a private evening tour/viewing of Cotsold Motor Museum later in the Summer? It's a cracking little museum down at Bourton-Under-Water (which is beautiful in itself) but can get very busy during opening hours so the private viewings (from 6:30pm) eem a perfect fit! For those of you that don't know it, more info can be found here: http://www.cotswold-motor-museum.co.uk/index.php No set dates yet as I wanted to gauge interest first but we need a minimum of 10 paying adults - that would mean it is £9 per person. 25 or more would be £3.90. Out of hours they can provide on site club parking for 8-9 cars. Families and children are still welcome despite it being an evening viewing - would mean less of a wait for the kids to see Brum as well! If you're interested, let me know by adding your name below. If there's enough interest, I'll go back to them and sort some possible dates. 01. Stu, Liza & 2 eldest sprogs 02. 03. 04. 05. 06. 07. 08. 09. 10.

Looks fantastic Col. Was looking at the pics on Facebook - with the fleck, colour match and overall finish, it really doesn't look DIY! Top Job! Dave, only thing I would do differently would be to use cutting/polishing compound between the paint and laquer rather than t cut as it contains wax and it could react with the laquer over time. You ideally want a dull finish to the paint layer so the laquer has something to adhere to.

Promise to keep my coffee topped up and the where & when is your call!

£80 screwfix down by the BMW plant. Threw in the extension, snow foam lance and spray hook thingy essentially FOC All change tomorrow though - they did hint that the bundle box may be cheaper for the next few weeks.

I Let A Friend Borrow My Car For A Few Days

Gutted for you mate but at least the repairs seem to be coming along swiftly enough and more importantly, no one was hurt! Get some pics up when she's back on form. -
A mate at work tipped me off about an offer screwfix had on kärcher pressure washers due to a stock change tomorrow so I popped down last night and picked one up - was an absolute bargain! Got LOADS of accessories including the t-racer and snow foam lance which if I got those alone, would've cost me more than the whole set!!! Not done the cars yet but having done the patio, decking and garden furniture and I'm absolutely blown away by how quickly and easily it shifts the grime!!! Going to try it out on the cars tomorrow, can't wait - it's going to make it so much quicker and easier than before!
-
Doh! So you did! I was looking at them then as well wasn't I. She was looking nice and shiny under the light in there!

No worries Col, there will be other. In fact, I'm off in a sec to take a look at a spot that Kylie tipped me off about

We (SIDC) have actually been offered some free stand space for this (ran some ads it TG for them). I can pass on the contact details if someone fancies organising it?
-
were you in Witney today mate? The multi storey? Thought it may have been but then noticed the ruddy great drilled brakes!?! New addition?
-
I'll take everyone's order on the day mate and just do one big run, saves anyone getting lost eh!
-
Yeah, but that means getting dressed and leaving the house!
-
Thought the same, was sat here trying to think where I could get some for old times sake!

Hi all, As your monthly meet has been pulled forward a week, I'm not sure if it's a little too close to be of interest but we're once again having a mid week mini-meet down by the river in Lechlade - 7:30pm Weds 21st July Would be good if some of you can make it along! More details and the list for names is here. Cheers, Stu

Well it seems it's time once again for an Oxon midweek mini meet, particularly as the charity event at Combe clashed on the dates - a worthy sacrifice though! With the evenings being even lighter than last time, it seems to make sense to make the most of the cracking spot at Lechlade again so: 7:30pm Weds 21st July Riverside Park, Lechlade Link to map here As with the last mini meet it'll mean that we're not restricted to members in and around Witney so this is going up in SW as well... will be good to see a good mix of regions! Oh, and I'm working on getting the gates kept open for longer so we can get some pics of the cars parked down by the river - will keep you all posted on that one though. Matty or I will be bringing a football for a kick about too! For those that didnt come last time, there's a cracking chippie up the road for anyone that fancies fish & chips on the river bank! I've spoken to them and if we want to save the individual trips up there (and the waiting) we can pre order this time - if you could say if you fancy anything in the list below, that would be excellent! I'll get the actual order on the day (Riverside Inn is just over the bridge for anyone who's got a thirst on but I've a feeling that'll be quite busy and it's only got a small car park) Names below for anyone that fancies it please: 01. Stu (fish & chips) 02. 03. 04. 05. 06. 07. 08. 09. 10.

Hiya mate, normally it would be this coming Sunday but it clashes with the Charity event at Castle Combe... will be posting up an alternative shortly though
-
Once I've got TG wrapped up, I'm planning on sorting another mini meet later in the month. I should be down at the motor show for about 6:30, got to get liitle uns in bed first.

The whole height thing got me to thinking that maybe a road legal pit bike could do the trick... quite like the SM look of those Thumpers! Sounds mental! Did you see that Impreza one that was posted on here a while back? Ebay link IIRC.
-
Cheers Kylie! There's one Cirencester way but it's got some dodgy electrics and has been used as a field bike for the past few years. I would just settle for an XT250 but they're just too damn tall!
-
After missing last year I vowed to be back on a bike for this year... I'm still on the hunt though Never thought it would be so hard to find an original XT125!!!!
-
Bugger, completely forgot about it... may have to go and sit up on the A40 and watch them come by instead.

Big D would be the man to tell you but IIRC that code is the Idle Control Valve which fits with the symptoms. I know it can be cleaned with carb & clutch cleaner but I'm afraid I've never done it to offer any advice. Hope you get it sorted and welcome to SIDC!

Whoops, missed this post somehow. Apologies. Welcome to SIDC and of course, Oxon Scooby Crew! I get most of my parts from importcarparts and Cotswolds (who are second to none when it comes to customer service). Cotswolds also give a discount to paid SIDC members! Like Andy said, Big D's the man for advice! Cheers, Stu Forgot to say, Express Factors in Witney are good for parts too!
