Edinburgh Rolling Road & Suspension Alignment
evil evo replied to scoobycol's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Hi john at progrip , he is now at larbert right next to the motorway junction for the hospital ,01324 557071, john is the original and the best all the others learnt from him , only 20 mins from Edinburgh or Glasgow cheers Don -
Hi just logged onto site after a little time away and read this post , i myself does not see what all the fuss is about , most off the sites i use have links to each others web sites and when the guys and girls go out at the weekend they help each other out at each others meetings , there is no bitching about my club is better than your club , so come on guys and girls you are supposed to be united by the love of subarus , deleting his post about ss.net was wrong in my eyes and the subaru world does not evolve around sidc , scottish scoobies is a good site and has alot of members so why dont you just get one stand at knockhill and have both banners up and make it a collective meet instead of competeing against each other

ice there was lots of it and snow as well , remember it snowed again last week
-
Hi if driver just slid on ice at 25 mph why was car totalled and the scoob and a big silver car up to their balls in the snow , it look to me that both cars had gone of road and where trapped in snow with scoob wrapped round lampost with damage alot more than 25mph would do to car , the scoob was wrapped round post so what caused the large dent in rear it certainly looked like big silver car size dent to me cheers
-
Hi passed this just after it happened , there was a large audi buried in the rear of it and they were all arguing , its a dude that is working at forth valley hospital for laing o rourke , i seen car in carpark every day until accident but have not managed to talk to the guy yet cheers Don
-

Hi looks like jac doing ok made 4th and 8th in the top ten in two of the disciplines, he did say he was not doing the top speed run so well done jac in the quarter mile and the handling course cheers Don
-
Hi know wonder they went bust , i went in a while ago flashing 2k after a set of 18s for the evo the guy said he would order them and phone me up after a few days of no call i popped in again and approched sales person he said sorry as they cant get wheels and would i look at others, which i did i chose others and would have taken them away that day but he told me to come back on the saturday so he could try them on car, at £1800 the salesman should have jumped and got them fitted but the dick was more interested on talking on the phone , so i went and spent my money at skidz in falkirk cheers evil

hello there chappys space man got my old classic of me which had a apexi in it and when watching knock on the hand controller we found that tesco 99 gave the lowest knock reading compared to all the other fuels also all the evo guys use tesco 99 on track days and also at time attack and have had no melted piston problems cheers shocker
-
i will second that , they are a very nice pair and also that top class engine built by steve whitson it has run perfect for a full season of racing i recommended steve to a guy with a knackered spec d the other week and he has reported back saying his engine is rebuilt and running superb cheers Don

Hi you got to try the evo , you can always go back to a scoob , having had a few variants of scobs i now have two evos and straight out of the box the evo win hands down as a drivers car scoob a great car from a to b and fun on track and your wife and kids can drive them with no problem , the evo takes a wee bit more consentration on road and i find my wife struggles with the way the power is delivered but the daughter loves the ayc and likes getting it sideways and on track its a superb beast , i get more smiles from the evo than i did the scoobs but give it a try and tell us what you think if you dont do it will always be in the back of your mind. cheers Don

Hi you lot take this to serious on sidc ,i never knew anything about this post until i got a phone call from a person that is in the club saying that john and arch are getting annoyed at jac posting up donald- madmac is the daddy and they were saying he was not, also while on the phone they mentioned that i was getting a slagging from a certain persons in eacc and sidc and they have been bitching all season about me useing a standard road car, anyway they asked me to post on mlr about how you lot thought donald was not the daddy and also wind you lot up ( jac )about me useing a standard road car instead of useing a race car and how it gets on certain eacc members t1ts i get on with everyone and would help out anybody if they asked for help but i do like a bit of forum windup anyway john its not you i am getting at , i was just stirring it betwen jac about donald was the daddy and certain persons saying he was not john the person that phoned me up and gave me the bullets to fire in my gun shall remain nameless but put it this way they are a good mate of arch and keep telling me you lot are bitching about me with my standard car at least i have the guts to post up and have a laugh about what people are bitching about or maybe peole should talk to me about why i am running a standard car this year instead of bitching about it and also they are saying i hope you stick it right up jac and archs a*** and thats supposed to be their good mates at club . RA DUNC - I DID NOT MEAN IT TO SOUND LIKE YOU WERE SLAGGING MACS CAR ITS JUST I WAS ASKED TO POST UP ON MLR AS JAC WAS SAYING MAC WAS THE DADDY AND TO LET HIM KOW THAT CERTAIN PEOPLE WERE SAYING HE WAS NOT THE DADDY < cheers DON

( Dunc, yes same class, though my only outing this year up here was in B3 at Kames, that was to stay out of the way of Arch, Jim and Jac so they could fight it out, ) john its nice to see you move up to b3 to give arch and jac a chance but i see no mention of myself in above post john , seeing i am only 1.9 points behind jac in second place in A3 useing a standard impreza road car with half the horse power you guys have and on pishy 205-16 £30 road tyres as well, i myself thinks it does not really make sense spending tens of thousand of pounds to run in the road class as you can have as much fun spending only a few grand to win a plastic trophy , just look at a2 with the fiestas or a9 with russel running his renault 5 in, these guys run cheap and have close races and still have a good banter at the meetings , A3 is getting to bitchy and like the secret service when someone asks for help ie- suspension settings etc anyway back to the topic madmac has always been very helpfull when i have spoke to him and his driving is awesome a bit like yourself john so not much to choose between yourself and mac , hopefully mac will move up to b3 and we can see some records getting set or broken cheers Don ps i think you lot take this internet posting to serious
-
yip i should hope he is well done and good luck up norff
-
lol nice edit arch
-
Hi arch quote from above post - The car will be over at Andy's next week to have a final check of the map so hopefully this will show no new issues and it will be all sorted for Kames on the 4th and 5th Aug. you must be tired arch because on the 4th and 5th you will be on your own mate at least your still giving myself and jac a chance , get some sleep and see you on the 1st and 2nd august cheers Don

feck all in my email in box yet mate
-
hello young man the locking up was due to everytime i pushed the brakes the front calipers seized on stopping me dead i spent the following week stripping calipers and trying to unseize the pistons , it had nothing to do with the discs i think these disc are value for money as they dont give brake wobble and seem to last ok anyway i am normally only 3 to 4 hundreds a lap of yourself and seeing i dont have 500 bhp and massive ap brakes or abs i think these discs normally produce the goods and would recommend them to anyone catch you at kames mate with old scoob again as evo still not ready to kick your butt , i will tell you story about it when i see you next oh and how about that mot for the 5 cheers Don
-
Hi i use these people for my discs , i find the grooved are the best for hard use as drilled tend to split when you get discs glowing red hot , got a set on evo and scoob and both have performed perfectly shocker
-
come along and take part , i run in standard road trim and do alright cheers Don
