Saw a RB5 on the m20 towards notcutts junction yesterday. Was taking my 97 white STI back to the dealer I bought it off

Well the STI I got wasn't the best, picked it up on Monday from Hindhead near Guildford and got all the way back to Maidstone when I noticed it was getting very hot. Pulled over and looked and the cap off the header tank had come off and shot all over the passenger side of the engine. Did a sniffer test a couple of times and it changed colour immediately on both occassions. I'm not sure the bloke knew the head gasket was on its way out as it took me an hour and a half for it to over heat that i'm aware of, but a few things he did gave me an indication he did know. More to the point though it's back on ebay without any description of the head gasket on its way out. Not many STIs you can be happy with. Hopefully the car sort will prove good! Not getting it until next week though as got to wait for it to be registered, also got to get the crankshaft seal done on it, which aint gonna be cheap. So who wants to buy my 93 wrx? or my Power FC & Commander? FMIC? Help me out!

Couldn't help with the above, just returning the favour you seem to do for everyone else! If you press start and then go to control panel and then system, under the general tab should be what processor and speed it is along with how much Ram you've got. Also right click on your hard drive/s in my computer and then properties to see how big your hard drive/s is.

Thats a lot less than I was hoping for. I need it to be £2000 really to be able to go for the other one, I guess i'll have to do more than this months 504 hours at work next month.

Had this pictures from when I bought it saved on my work computer. Basically got my eye on a newer model and was wondering what you lot think I can get for mine. It's a 93 WRX lightweight panel model in Silver. Full Rollcage - not the one you have to climb over though! Recently had the cambelt changed Camshaft & crankshaft oil seals replaced. 2x brand new Goodyear F1 tyres. Apexi Induction Kit 3" straight through exhaust with 5" tailpipe 3" decat (yet to put on) 17" TSW alloys sprayed in black (could do with being resprayed/coated) Turbo Timer Front & Rear Strut Braces Brand new yellow stuff pads and drilled and grooved disks 1 side Rocker Cover gasket recently done New gearbox oil New Spark plugs STI suspension New Exedy Clutch Nardi Steering wheel MOT until mid OCT TAX till end OCT The body work has seen better days, there are marks on the roof, a very rough job done at rolling back the arches, when you open the boot it has rusted around where the rain runs out and duct tape has been put over it so it doesn't leak through with heavy rain. Got some pictures of before I got the car, not many changes since cosmetically, just put on some clear indicators and changed the air box to an Apexi induction kit which aren't shown in the pics. Any ideas on what it's worth? Or any offers as I'd like to get the cash together to get this newer model i've got an eye on. Many thanks

I suppose it's very short tax and MOT which if you use buy it now means if it goes through an MOT without a problem it's a £2150 car by next month.

I think i've read something about when its hot you tend to use less fuel. Something to do with the heat making a power loss to a turbo car, so not as much power =s less fuel being used. I've just got 250 miles driving to Wales today with some to spare, and was giving it some plenty of times. I think I could of probably seen 300 miles out of my 93 wrx which is pretty standard if i'd drove a bit nicer.

I have, how much is it worth?

I saw a 06 hawkeye with about 50k on the clock for £9 on ebay. If you dont do many miles and a few other considerations could be a very cheap buy in my eyes.

Fancy this, but work a week on week off so depending on dates i'd be interested. Is it the twin engine ones at Buckmore? Never been on the track just seen them go around the track.
