After one desperately and would like to pick up today if possible?

Ordered some parts the other day but have lost the number and they've not turned up yet.

Just started the car and noticed a little bit of white smoke from the exhaust which I've not seen before, thought possibly turbo on its way out (even though thats blue I think) reversed and then undone the window and started going forward and noticed a long whirring noise. Got under the car to have a look, nothing unusual, all the oils are fine. When I rev it its making a long drawn out whhhhhhhhrrrrrrrrr & the higher you rev it the longer the noise lasts (about 3-5 secs max) I think its possibly from the turbo, but have never had let go before? Has been working totally fine before this though with zero smoke before. I would upload a sound file to it, but the work camera is shocking and doesn't have sound built into it and I haven't got a cable lead for my phone either. Any ideas anyone?

I really fancy the track day but these always come up on a Bank Holiday, and i'll lose a nice pay day if I take it off. Are there any more coming up?

Got my car on the rollers the other day: http://bbs.scoobynet.com/general-technical...-power-run.html I think one of the intercooler pipes is rubbing against a bit of the frame, and has caused a hole in it. I can't see it 100% and can only feel that its worn away as its too tight to get in there. But i've got a feeling if it is a hole there it'd sort out the late spool up. So as title, can anyone alloy weld as I presume the pipes will be Alloy? Cheers Tim

SVA down in Dover are meant to be good, and they will do a 0-60 as well but are £75+ VAT I went to CPL racing in Sittingbourne the other week and it was £65. But i'd never go back there again, whilst the bloke running the rr was having a tiff with one of Dyno Dynamics specialists they shut the door on me and 2 of my other mates whilst it was about 3 degrees outside and we had to wait outside for them for about 45 minuntes. Albeit I had about 6 or 7 power runs, I didn't like the customer service and felt embarrassed having invited my friends along to stand out in the cold to get bored. I've used http://www.rapidchariots.co.uk/index.htm over in Canterbury before and they were only £30-£35 for a power run. I did try and get hold of them a couple of times the other week, but had no luck. Don't know if they've gone under? Surrey Rolling Road seems to that gets used the most for group test days around here. http://www.austec.co.uk/ are £45 + VAT if I remember rightly. But if your cars lowered forgetaboutit.

Basically the whole arch needs doing as the inside there is a small amount of rust, but my camera is crap if theres not enough light. Anyone got any recommendations of where I can take it and what it'll set me back please. Also did one of the mods deleted my car for sale thread in here earlier? Just want to know so as to save myself the bother of doing it again if its not allowed. Cheers Tim

I'd second Hiroshima Power in Pluckley. £30p/h and hes always quoted me worst case price for peace of mind for jobs hes done for me in the past. He's got a 10.8 qtr mile mr2 he's built so knows his stuff.

Cols flames looked **** hot along the m20 Felt ashamed for not giving the car a clean Hopefully money pending in other places i'll be able to keep the car and get to come along to some other meets, had to make a dash as one of my mates had an early start tomorrow.

Its got a Magnex back box and 3" downpipe along with a vf34 turbo and airfilter. Would like to get a boost controller fitted, not sure whats safe boost to run, and I think i've read i'd need to get it mapped as cylinder 3 suffers from fuel starvation if you up the boost?

Does anyone know the transmission losses on Imprezas? as I made 241.6 & 237 at the wheels I think I remember reading something along the line at the place was either 17% or 19% adjustment.

It got 297bhp. He wasn't able to stick the sensor up the magnex oval backbox so couldn't get an air/fuel reading. He also only managed one decent reading as he took the first two boost readings off the actuator I think it was and it only reached 10psi of boost. I was outside then taking a phone call it wasn't until he came back in and asked if I had a boost controller and I said no, he may have been getting mixed up with the Blitz turbo timer/boost gauge. The last run though seemed to be a good boost curve etc, just a little annoyed I didn't get my 3 proper runs. My friend took a video of it, will see if I can post it when he sends it to me.
