Back on topic - day 12 for me with no ciggies Day 2 with no ciggies and no patches (havn't managed to give up the cigars yet though )

The Final Count Down (by who ever it was that sang it - hopless with names and stuff) First ever tune I played on the first ever time I got in my car and drove it after passing my test, played it loud to cover the knocks and rattles of my old Fiat Uno !

It was a hot hot summers day, Kemble Air field, at a track day we were running. All sorts of cars there, from a very quick old Capri to my lumbering old XJS (not built for track driving I know). One of our customers brought a yellow two door Scoob (no idea of model, too long ago) and when I did the decibel check I was blown away (almost literally), I experience the Scooby burble from a performance exhaust for the first time. He had to pack the exhaust with wire wool to get in under the decibel limit ! Sorry to say the driver was pretty shoddy, packed exhaust didn't help performance and it didn't do as well on the track as it might of done but I was hooked. I've wanted one ever since. Now, I may not be technically a Scooby owner but I put up absolutly no resistance when D decided to buy our WRX and now replaced with the STI. Trouble is he loves it soooo much I never get to drive it. Some day, maybe, one day....I shall up grade my car and become an owner in my own right !

change over thier mouse click functions, left for right and right for left..... hours of frustration. Or, take a screen shot of their desk top and set it as the screen saver.......best done when you are around to see the stress levels it can cause (and yes, I have suffered both from "friends" at work as a joke, it's a rite of passage for new people here LOL)

Rally Day at Castle Combe is showing for the 20th Sept on their web site. This was great last year.

Ken Sti should be able to give you a deffinitive answer, he had modified side lights which were blue LEDs, but if think he has removed them now....

Congrats on the parent to be status......one of the chaps I worked with got a Pug 206 and was MOST unhappy, re-did the questions and STILL got the same result at which point he declared it was either Carp (think about it) or broken !

Good luck Monki I know Kev brought you up to Combe a couple of weeks ago, but we would miss you from the shows if your car is totally off road. fingers crossed MOT is fine and tax is possible. Is there no-one else who can insure your car with you as a named driver to bring the costs down ?

Speak to SP about Splat cards (saves you having to approach people in car parks like I do - one of these days I'm going to get arrested) LOL

Try a bit of press in the local rag, or on the radio, see if you can drum up some interest, it always helps attendance at the SW monthly meet in Swindon..

I have developed the ability to tune it out now....I'll give you a few tips on how if you like

Get your CV out quickly, I'll name a couple of the good agencies if you want me to...one in particular I spoke to for you are still waiting for your CV
