I know what you mean ,it's personal choice at the end of the day and i'm as big a fan as anyone of the classic & newage shape- but things move with the times and personally i think Subaru made this New Hatchback to compete with the likes of the new Focus RS.

Cheers Euan,i've been looking for a minted Hawkeye Sti for a while now but not found what i want (until Wulsey put his up for sale -it was too late)I have thought about the new shape for a while and they've seemed to grow on me so i took the plunge.Not keen in taking it out far in this weather so the type Ra will probably get used more (that's the plan but i can't see it happening)

Wasn't a fan until i drove one a couple weeks ago and i was impressed,i think it depends on the colour as well- this one will be a nightmare to keep clean but never mind.

Okay here's a sneak preview -those of you on here that know me wil be 'surprised' by my choice -but don't knock them until you driven it,handling and performance is great. First mod will be a new set of 18's -black with red rim ,then splitter i think.Mudflaps ordered and on their way.

If the disc was glowing and pad was smoking when you pulled over and you sat sationary for a while there's a good chance you've warped the disc .

Car passed MOT today I had to remove Zero-sports chip from ECU and resoldered resistor J1 which had been snipped due to chip being installed.I then fitted a new Bosch 3 wire lambda sensor and it passed no probs. Car isn't as responsive as before due to the ECU being back to standard,but it's still quick enough. Big thanks to euan r for his help and knowledge- due you a pint min.

You won't need new calipers just strip down your ones clean them up, fit new seals and maybe pistons and bleed brakes.This is pretty easy to do ,i done mine myself,got new seal kits from ebay site or try Camskill. The options on discs and pads are varied ,standard,grooved ,grooved/drilled and prices vary depending on quality.

Yes wideband on car when i got it -ordered a bosch 3 wire lambda so i'll disconnect the wideband and try the bosch
