hmmmmm tell you what though. it took about an hour to fit after it was painted to match my car. £200 for the paint work, £40 for the fitting. seems like the fitting was a real bargain to me. the sti wing is a really nice and expensive bit of kit. £40 is no money for a great job done. easy.........

had a professional fit a genuine sti spoiler to my wrx 3 weeks ago. perfect job, as long as you have the right tools and knowhow

refund reached my bank account friday. phew.... picking up a nice bug wrx with ppp later on today. i so hate driving anything else but a scoob. one thing though. the trader made me pay for the transportation costs to get the car back to him (£300) been advised he should have covered all the cost of this and possibly my costs of driving up north to the garage and back down south. ooooh, and it still had £50 of v power in the tank. any advice on this appreciated.

im positive they all had ppp fitted from new. 245 bhp to my knowledge they are. recently sold my uk wrx bug with 215, you d never be happy with that picking up a 2001 with ppp today myself. wooo hooo

hmmmm... what can i say. the 555 i bought (got 2 weeks ago) died (day after i bought it) specifically, big ends blew. lack of oil or losing oil or oil not checked before i drove the car away!. its sounds like a joke here but, it really did happen.Car was bought from a reputable tuning company as well ! there is a story to tell, im promised in writing a full refund today (10 days after the origional purchase!) after that happens, i ll let you all know the ins and outs. lol so fingers crossed till later. !!

no-one with a 555... wow anyone care to share discussions on motor re-spraying? the car i bought needs some help, lots actually. mechanically great but wanting a lick of paint... HELP????

hey all, ive just put up my wrx uk wagon for sale. previously ive had 2 imports. 1 a wrx saloon and a really nice wrx sti. been looking around various sites for something like a type ra... can anyone reccomend this model or others to consider... there seems to be nothing around at the mo, or any takers for mine right now. please help my continued love in seeking the next scoob.....

great to be back and thanks for the kind words. firstly, no kids no dogs, no snowboard or skis lol. guess im a bit gutted really to hear youve been modding your 05sti to feel like a classic. looking to the future id probably get a newer sti like yours. how would you describe yours drives and feels compared to a classic sti? must say though i really prefer the looks of the wagon compared to bugeye saloon. yea, i reckoned spending about a grand would see towards 280 bhp. in which order and what would you go for in spending a grand? hmmm, perhaps i should sell it and find another classic sti. but its in such good condition it would be ideal for a few simple mods and enjoy for a few years. did love the sti i had, ponder on i suppose....

hey all, back to the forums here after about a year. picked up my first "uk" model a couple of weeks ago. a 2001 wrx wagon in mica blue with gold wheels. previously owned a jap import classic wrx and a jap import classic sti. bought the car after looking at a few others and a test drive. it had the fullest service history and best body work of those i saw, (in fact the best service history ive ever saw from a car this age. the previous owner sure must have loved the car. i guess though what i want an opinion on is - the car as it sits is 100% standard, no mods at all. feels really tight and sure footed. im really starting to miss the power of my last sti (sheds a tear lol) shorter gearing, point and squirt driving... etc etc do i - 1. keep the car as std ( as its unbutchered ) 2. do a few mods to find another 60 bhp or so (if indeed this is the right thing to do at all) 3. hmmm it ll never handle like an sti (more upgrades) 4. sell the car or swap it for another import would love to hear some opinions of what to do ? great to be back. heres a link for pics.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/56470276@N07/
