  6. Be wary of buying anything on two wheels from Halfruads, we fractured a GT frame up carron valley & Halfrauds didn't want to know, they asked what we had been doing with the bike to break it, eh riding through forrests downhill duuuuuu, GT frames normally have a ten year warranty when purchased from a real bike shop, Halfruads buy them from abroad from a company called moroder & they will only honour a one year warranty, they eventually met me halfway when I threatened to stuff him up my exhaust pipe & cannonball him over the carpark. For £500 you could get a nice trek or specialized from Smiths in Falkirk and they will give a 10 - 15% discount asked.
  7. Tried to buy two but appear to be having problems logging in as well
  8. Got home yesterday & the postie had delivered my road tax renewal, up to £400 squids now under Mr Browns reign, how much more cash can these bar stewards milk us for, between petrol prices & road tax for drivin on roads full of pot holes I'm P------- off Grrrrrrrrr rant rant rant
  9. I've been drivin & always had some variation of subaru since 96, loved the classics were great fun, I remember the days when you had to wait 9 months from ordering a classic turbo & you didn't get a choice of colour ooooh, had a 53 plate STi for three yrs but always felt it would be better with a five speed gearbox, got a GB270 just now & it's the closest to a classic that i've driven, once I spend a bit & get Dunc at Hypertech to sort the suspension out & play around with the engine a bit it'll be even more fun, only complaint desperately needs an exhaust to make it sound like a scooby
  10. Sounds like the same problem I had with my classic MAF looked OK but I changed it anyway & never looked back
  11. Hi had mine for about six weeks now, it's my 4th scooby got rid of my 53 plate sti for this one, drives well still trying to compare the differenc, just as quick through the gears, starts to run out of puff around 130 mph but wont be up there that many times, £57 for first 1000 mile oil , change, Duncan at hypertech in will be looking after this car from now on rather than the main dealer that way I know it's getting well looked after. Needs front strut brace to stiffen up the front end a bit but first mod will be a new exhaust to get back that famous burble, stereo is crap but who cares fab car to drive get yourself one it's a bargain Bobby C
  12. Hi I fitted a mongoose 4inch (collins) system to my classic which sounded nice not to loud, I had S & S Exhausts at Hillington build me a cat back system for my 53 plate STI £275 fitted which was the dogs bollocks but on a long run you could do with earplugs, Speak to Duncan Stark at Hypertech in Bonnybridge & they'll advise they have fitted everything Tel 01324 812212 Bobby C
  13. Hi mate I'm 49 full no claims just got quoted £375 - £1280 fully comp for a GB 270 so it's a lottery, settled for £500 from admiral so shop around but cheapest aint always best Bobby C
  14. The 270's in the showroom insurance company are draggin their ass with the cover note then a have to wait on the reg transfer, royal mail first class post no **** Bobby C
  15. Hi There Just joined the SIDC I've been drivin scoobies for about twelve years started off with a 2.0 sport back in96 & moved on to a new 98 turbo from Fraser Anderson when he was still in buisiness, finished up with a new age STI but sold it a year ago to some lucky bar-steward . I bought an audi TT 3.2 tiptronic and have enjoyed it for a year but drivin past subaru in Camelon everyday pisses me off. Went in on Monday & bumped into Fraser Anderson 73 years young & still as enthusiastic as ever, I test drove the GB270 and it brought back that smile from ear to ear. Told Gavin to wrap it up I just miss drivin a scooby can't wait till next week i need a fix just waitin on the reggie gettin transferred. Bobby C
