  1. What advantage does an FMIC have over a decent top mount, say an sti 7/8/9 one? Won't be running more than 400bhp Cheers, Michael
  2. There was a program on telly fairly recently involving P18, some 40year old guy who still lives with his mum was some playstation rally champ who had started to do it for real and was using an ex WRC car.... Pretty sure it was this one.... Oh and he pranged it on telly!
  3. Sounds good does that, will keep that name handy!
  4. So.... 230mm exedy organic clutch, exedy flywheel.... all sound good for 350-400bhp? Or would I be better to get the racing clutch? Twice the price tho so is it worth it?
  5. Car will won't be getting used everyday, but I don't want it to be a pain to drive around town! Power wise min 350bhp, budget wise up to £600 for clutch and flywheel sounds fair? You mention inertia effect, is a lighter flywheel less user friendly? Car has been parked up for 2months atm, got a few things to sort out, clutch being one, then tyres and mot!!!
  6. Cheers for quick reply mate, I'd ideally like to have a pretty meaty clutch able to handle up to 400/400 as i'm sure i'll be upping the power in the summer... I've seen Fidenza flywheels weighing in at 4.4kg which is a bit lighter than the Exedy ones, cheaper as well, but obviously cheaper isn't always better! Michael
  7. Clutch on MY00 uk classic needs replacing rather urgently, and I was thinking that while i was at it, why not get a lighter flywheel.... Question is, what clutch and what flywheel? I'd like a clutch to be able to take quite a beating, so a standard replacement is a no no. I've seen plenty of different Exedy clutchs etc, is 230mm what I'm looking for? Paddle clutch? Racing Clutch?? All terms lost on me I'm afraid.... Then the flywheel... Exedy again? Or P1 flywheel?? Any help/advice will be much appreciated guys! Michael
  8. Decat, fuel pump, panel filter and Andy F remap = nice power hike www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk will tell you everything you will need to know, costs, power gains.... and the inevitable "Stage 2" that you'll want when you get bored again
  9. I would have to agree and say that the guy obviously thinks your a bit of a fanny and maybe meant "You do my tits in" ? and the "ssssssssshhhhht" is asking you to keep quiet on the forums in future? Have you had previous correspondence with said member?
  10. And at least now you've got a nicer MY00 bumper... Every cloud etc etc
  11. I'm sorry, but you just cannae take a car seriously when it's called "Daffodil Yellow" .... there should be a law against it!
  12. Should check out maccy d's carparks sometimes, i'm convinced there are some little tw@ts in saxos that try same stuff...

  17. Rather general statement there, you say that some people cannot concentrate while driving and using the phone... well the government say that you cannot drive safely at 72mph, thats why the speed limit is 70mph (Bit anal but you get the idea) I personally use bluetooth, but i was reading this and felt like stirring it lol
  18. Take 10steps back, eye up the ball, pick up biggest golf bat you have, approach ball at high velocity, t**t said ball with all your might, proceed to jump about shouting "Who's the daddy!? I'm the DADDY!" at the top of your voice. Michael golf tips ... Priceless.
  19. Hey 4hero, didn't YOU know its illegal to do more than 70mph, but I guess you've never done that
  20. Lol, I hate those Viano things, automatic merc diesel mpv.... gotta be my most hated vehicles!
  21. I was actually thinking about scoobs when I seen the van coming up behind me, at first I thought "Maybe it's grant" then I thought NAAAAH we're like 100miles from anywhere.... But lo and behold it was the man himself! I was stuck with nervous passengers, hence the driving miss daisy at 70mph indictated!!
