The ecu triggers pump by switching the earth to relay to 0v. The relay is under the drivers dash right up nearly at screen on early classics iirc, its cylindrical with green connector. Cant recall if output side of relay is switched earth or positive.

my cars fairly standard just now but looking to make a few small changes in near future. Do a lot of work on my car and every time i had intercooler off was annoyed at seeing a bit of oil in pipes. The seals on my old vf28 didnt like 1.5 bar as it turned out but all squeeky clean now.

i fitted a two port to mine as well. I did it to stop any crud getting into intercooler and reducing air/fuel mix quality. The standard system is setup to allow air to circulate through rocker covers and out crank breather, then back into air intake or manifold depending on engine vacum/boost. i removed all oem breathers, bunged manifold and inlet pipe ports, put mini filters on rockers and fed crank breather to catch can.

If its increasing with road speed and not gear related it could be many things; any of the bearings, front or centre diff, drop gears. cant tell really. Its just you thought noise was comming from back of box, i have spare entire rear casing from older version that would fit but its not low milage. a replacement box would be best vfm if its truthfully described.

api do refurbed boxes for 750+vat when i enquired a few years ago and would supply exchange with returnable deposit if you dont want car off the road. best bet is probably gearbox in link above. reading your other thread if you think its centre diff then i have complete ty752 viscous tail end with 1 to 1.1 drop gears which would fit. its from an old box of mine but no centre diff problems and would be cheap. having said that noises can travel along shafts etc so may not be centre thats away reading from other thread.

sounds like a good bit of extra work for yourself. Have you made enquiries into getting your current box repaired? As any new parts from dealers wont be cheap. May be better buying reconditioned box to replace yours. Although having said that ive fitted freshly rebuilt box from specialist and still had to remove immediately again. whats current gearbox code?

i have heard many a good report of alastairs work and best of all hes one of the few mappers willing to travel. Sadly he cant map my car at the moment without expensive syvecs but that may be about to change with soon release of esl for 99/00 cars.

You cant say that against purdy.

Admiral but your white one will be too modified for them, you will get cover for your green one though. A-plan have always been very competitive too and not so disapproving of bigger mods, i will need to switch next year.
