oh no you didn't............ well certainly cleaned that engine out
Just drain it, remove bottom rad hose [30 secs]
Give it a good flush out with a garden hose, in the header tank
Fill it up with clean water after re attaching the bottom hose
run the engine for 5 mins, yes run the engine gets all the water out of the waterways inside the engine
remove same hose from rad at the bottom and drain, flush again. Hose back on
Fill with good quality anti-freeze as per manufacturers instructions
Go to specsavers and buy one get one free lol

What's the ££££ for the spots and splitter & fitting (if you don't mind me asking...pm maybe)?
Brian.
you have a goat
@ richie nice grills
-
Look on the bright side m8 it's not serious & your wheel aint gonna fall off
Glad we could help
-
is the dealer fitting spots and front splitter?
Brian.
Oh yes, i would be far too scared about scratching the old girl changing them, apparently fitting the spots is a piece of cake! Personally i just don't fancy routing about trying to find the lecky connections behind the bumper and changing the steering wheel stalk. Best let the dealer worry bout that

I just bought some Zunsport grills for the hatch from their website, phoned them yesterday and grills arrived this morning, well impressed. Coated black for a change instead of the normal stainless. will get some other pics when they are on the car.
Also having a splitter & spots fitted on Monday so should look not bad
-
and really heavy!
YES surprisingly very much so!
-
Could be simply brake pads or wear sensor on the pads squealing on the disc m8, had that myself before.

I'm going to see if I can arrange a test drive next week so that I can make my choice.
A small word of warning if you are going to test drive the new Impreza......... take a deposit with you
Very much a user friendly car, well equipped and modern. I went from a RB320 to a STi hatch and all i can say is, you will not be disappointed
Best of luck

Hey guys i washed the transit & the wifes car for the first time last week and i have about 6 bags of slightly used grit that came from under the wheels if you want some

Look at it this way the Hawkeye will cost an extra £185 a year in tax....................................................
£16 a month - WOOPEE!
Its nothing.
Buy a Hawkeye, they are amazing.
(funnily enough, I'm selling my 56 Plate Spec D with 15K on it in Feb, looking for £13500 with 18's and BC Coilovers)
Russell
^^ not a hint or anything
saying that sounds like a good deal and a nice car [picture] though and
extra £16 is buttons really, it just sounds bad paying £400 smackers, i grudge paying that muppet 'Darling' extra money to be 'green' Mmm stopped me buying the hatch for sure!

Well if it get's too much i can always do a '

Try privilege m8 that's who i use, for me by far the cheapest. i tried A plan & keith michaels but were extortionate!
What i usually do is find someone close that you don't like in the street and put their details into places like money supermarket dot com but with your D O B and see what quotes you get, that way you will avoid the 4 sacks of junk mail they send you out next year on renewal date:), once you are quoted just phone the insurance company up direct, haggle the crap outa them & you are quids in.

I wouldn't mind getting a pm to please

Nothing on mine yet, but only got about 1200 miles down so might not be happening with mine yet if its a common problem, post up if you find out
-
Is the noise still there after the thaw? i had the same thing with the tyre jack too, very annoying & i bugga to spot.
Let us know how you get on
-
Aye, just nae sure what to fit and don't want to **** with decat's for MOT hassles, probably just try a new rear box? Any advice of which one?
Just change the backbox hoss, no need to worry about remaps or mot. i had a ninja 2 on mine before i sold it, I still have the back box in my garage.............
*edit* if you are going to mod the car to any degree i wouldn't bother with the GB or RB, just get a 07 Sti and the money you would save buying the standard STi would more than cover the extra bolt on bits.
Plus you would end up with a better car!

Let the wife out of the boot

So all special editions should be left bog standard?
So if I rip the interior out of my RB5 and fit a multi point cage I will be slagged off on here?
May also actually fit a spoiler that actually causes downforce as well im doomed now
Also I have already cut away half the P1 front splitter and fitted a FMIC
Also have P1 wheels at the moment as well
It's ok m8 as it's only a RB5........ knock yourself out
