Right, some late night garage pictures to try and clear this up.
The metal work will be coming out over the winter to be painted.

to do what? hold the seat belt clip in place? you're not the only one whose confused mate
Yes to fit the seat and also the seat belt clip.
-
yeah, but that renders the back seats as useless.
You have lost me now! There were four bolts holding my seat in place, two in the front and two in the rear. The one behind the seat that bolts in to the transmission tunnel ( beside the handbrake area ), i have used that one.
-
Yeah. I'm assuming the bucket seats will have a bracket or something to fasten the clip onto? what have you done with your set up?
I attached mines to the rear mounting bolt for the seat.
-
ha yeah, but doesn't that mean i will have seats with no seat belts? hmmm - ARGH!!!!!
Yes but if dont you will have a seat belt in the car with nothing to plug it into ?
-
Nice pictures John.
-
Yup!
Remove it and plug it back in.

Not fitted the new seat yet mate... the cable is jsut sitting on the floor - seat is in the kitchen LOL!
That will be the reason the air bag light is on then. Was the seat belt fitting ( the bit you plug the seat belt into) attached to the side of the seat that was removed?

Hi Everyone!
As per usual, nothing is simple for me when doing stuff on the car. Got the subframes I need and they fit (not tried them with the seats though). Anyway, after taking out the front passenger seat, and disconnecting the big lead underneath (with great difficulty), the "AIRBAG" light was dispalyed on the dash. I can't understand that, as I can't see any airbags on the seat - but that is besides the point... HOW do I have to do to get the light out?
Thanks
JW
I am guessing that you have unplugged something from under the old seat and now fitted the new seat? There might be a sensor in the old seat that is somehow connected to the airbag system.

Thats a strange one !
How do we know this is really you

Sadly it was only a matter of time but if people are willing to sell them and give a percentage to the charity then the charity benefits. I know mines will never be leaving my house

Holy mother of i touch goats thats a lot of money i hope the £305 quid extra goes to the charity
The guy posted up saying that 40% will be going to the charity.

John did you ask about a test drive?

A lot of people including myself have bought from theses guys.
It really depends how much you are looking to spend.

Hey there looking for some advice/help, I have a My98 Classic Turbo. But the other day ~I went to use the horn and the thing doesnt work, it has just recently stopped working.
I have removed the centre from the steering wheel to check the connector was still in place and everything was fine, also check all wiring is connected and not damaged.
But the bloody thing is still not working, anyone any ideas what might be wrong and how to fix it.
Cheers
James
Check to see if your brake lights are working, on my 95 sti they shared the same fuse. On mine it was located on the right hand side of the drivers footwell.

Does U.G. = United Glass, by any chance?
Yes thats the one.

I struggled to find sparco subframes to fit the subaru to be honest . I ended up buying an old set of seats and just butchered them. I ended up taking the four mounting points off the old seats and welded them to the end of some flat bar and then drilled the flat bar for the seat to be mounted on. To have used the whole of the original subframes would have ment that the seat would sit to high. This means that the seat is fixed in postion.
-
The side mounts allow the seats to be fitted to the runners/subframe.
Here is a picture of one of mines with the side mount fitted.

Wouldnt care if the evidence could be used or not, as long as you find out what scrote is doing it. Then break out the tie wraps and a transit and let the fun begin

Well thats me out of ideas, i thought it would be connected to the seat belt clip like mines. Hopefully somebody with a new age will be along with some ideas.
I helped my brother fit a steering wheel to his evo 6, his original one had an airbag and the new one did not. He had to get a resistor to fit across the old airbag connections to solve a similar problem.
