  1. As Brian has said, carry a full size spare wheel or face the prospect of a LONG drive home, but getting close to 30 MPG!!

Always remember that the handle to raise and lower the jack is attached to the underside of the bootboard in an Impreza so that you dont rip all the skin off your knuckles using a screwdriver to do the same job.........

Oh, and of course, avoid the inbred, incestuous sister shagging moron driving the breakdown truck towards you wearing a moronic grin and forcing you into a pothole the size of his mothers whatsit!!!

  2. I've been a member since 2007 and to be honest the membership fee does not really bother me. I have to agree with one of the earlier posts that if you are a fee paying member then there should be areas of the site that are only accessible to those members. Group buys etc should be the same - if you're not a paid up member then you can't join in the group buys but that's just my opinion. I have not seen many benefits from being a member other than meeting some great people and having a right good time and some of the events I've been to (not many i have to admit but that's my choice). As for the North / South divide I have never seen that on here? As for posts on the main site - i VERY rarely even look on the main site - it was the Scottish Scoobies thing that attracted me as I wont be heading down to the South Coast for events, but again that is my choice and no reflection on the club or any of it's members. I'm also a paid up member of the RB320 owners club and Aberdeen Scoobies so pay out a fair amount every on membership fees every year - about that same amount as a tank of V Power!!

    Just my tuppence worth...............

  3. Hi Mate,

The bearings are'nt tapered so will need to be pressed in and out the hub. You'll also need circlip pliers. In the new bearing pack you'll get 2 seals, the bearing and a circlip.

Removing the hub itself should'nt be too difficult.

    Cheers mate, appreciate the advice!

  4. Well today my after market RB320 steering wheel badge arrived in the post.

So, without thinking it through, I armed myself with a kitchen knife and made a hasty exit out back to begin tackling the transformation from STI in the centre of the wheel to RB320.

Giving it as little thoguht as possible, I proceeded to attack the STI badge and pull away at it, bending it. I thought ''if this was meant to come out, it would be a lot easier'' and suddenly realised i had made an error of considerable magnitude.

I started to try and get the slightly bent STI badge back into place and obviously each time I did so, the horm went off.

Now I was feeling concsious of my presence and decided to drive down the road and sit quietly trying to get it back into place.

Each time the horn blasted, people looked, a man sitting in a group 20 car, fiddling with a knife around the general control area.

Sweary words coming from me, people looking, knife in hands, old women cowering as their fingers looked for the 999 buttons on ther mobiles. lol

Eventually got it all sorted and peeled off the RB320 backing and stuck it over the STI badge like I should have done to begin with.

This story backs up the reason I hit the ball like tiger but have a 17 handicap. I simply have no concentration !! what a chod !

I heated up the plastic with a hairdryer and the STi badge came out no problems. I then ground down the ribbed bits in the badge hole bit and popped in the RB320 badge - sits flush and looks better i think? I did mark the steering wheel a bit which is a bummer. I also used a RB320 splitter badge to cover the STi badge on the rev counter but i'm still not sure if that was a good idea - see picture.

  5. Love the RB320, my favourite looking newage.

    You lucky guy!

Here's a photo of my WRX, I got the bottom grill painted 32J to match the car, just to give you an idea...

I think it finishes off the front end well, rather than having the large gaping hole there, and doesnt look as out of place as the chrome grill does

Like it, thats my mind made up, black lower grill it is!!

  6. I'll be keeping this one a long time Wayne..

Well done Tommo, i thought you had those "I want one" looks when were chatting in Ullapool. I have the stickers for the fog light covers as well and will get them on soon. Like some of the others have mentioned I'm thinking of getting the lower grill powder coated black - once i get the fcukin thing straightened out - watch them pesky rabbits mate!! :D may well get the upper ones done as well but don't really want to change the original look of the car too much?

  7. you can be 100% sure that others will laugh at your misfortune, no matter how bad it is, it's human nature
