  1. LOL Cheers lads. No further forward, but at least I know I'm not alone! Nice to have made your aquaintance bogie. I take it you were the grey wagon with the waist level spoiler? Smiler, which flaps have you fitted? Are they Prodrive? I have the - front only - stone guards already, but think I may just go for the full bifta rally flaps. We'll see what today brings! Steve.
  2. Does anybody make mud flaps specifically for the '06 wagon? I ordered a set of ProDrive flaps only to find out they are 4 door only. I am happy enough to drill the car if needs be, but I'd have thought some enterprising company would have created a set of clip-on flaps that use the one existing hole at front and the two at back. Any advice? Cheers, Steve.
  3. Yeah it was, but it wasn't very good. I'm tired though!
  4. Probably a good thing to do in the opposite carriageway
  5. Can you make the photos bigger next time? My monitor is buckling at the knees Looks good though. Might have to invest in some laziness myself! Steve.
  6. Just back from Egypt to find my planned mods may not be such a good idea after all! I was thinking of following in your footsteps Welsho, but I think I'll wait and see how this resolves. On a more constructive note; My '06 WRX had a noticable flat spot around 3,000 revs. It was most noticable when I floored the throttle, but also showed when driving Miss Daisy. I have been using V-Power exclusively for the last month or so and today I didn't notice any flat spot. Could be co-incidence, but I notice it has been mentioned in a reply here. Good luck anyhoo, Steve.
  7. I bought the single din pocket for '06 Impreza (may be the same as Forester). The Subaru number is SIMP316, Pocket Assy and it should cost you £25.45+VAT. You can also buy the wiring adapter from Halfords for about a tenner. Steve.
  8. Any chance you could slip a video of that bird in your avatar in with good stuff? Find it difficult to concentrate on the posts when she's dancing in front of my eyes! Reckon it must be the stroboscopic effect of the animation. Yeah, that's right ... PS: If you ever need someone to stand up in court and re-iterate your feelings/sentiments PM me! I'm all for a dose of reality over institution
  9. I hope one of those 2 is me! You want us to make a donation through you, or are you taking us on trust? Love your attitude by the way **** the establishment! PM me if necessary. Steve.
  10. I've been waving like a crazy man at every scoobie I see, but I've only had a few back. I initially thought all scoobie drivers waved (like vee-dub, or 2cv drivers) but it seems more fickle than that. Like yourself ScoUK I'll keep at it until my wrist breaks, or they tow me away to the crazy pen! Steve.
  11. Bless This'll help you (#3): http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.php/Kno...ge/DecatExhaust
  12. I'll go with the 'get someone else to do it' gang. I have replaced a few on different cars using machined (ahem, is using a 9" grinder machining?!) sockets, bits of old pipe and big hammers! I had no problems, but those were smaller/lighter cars that put less load on each bearing. Not sure I'd feel confident doing it on my Scoobie. Spend £20 now, or take the chance of wrecking the bearings yourself and paying out much more in the long-run. Plus you are less likely to use the ABS sensor as a pivot point for a screwdriver. Therefore less likely to break said ABS sensor and have to have it replaced by a garage who can't quite figure out how it 'just fell apart' one day. Now who would do a thing like that? Steve.
  13. lol! I was just thinking how inconspicuous that looks with the massive Brembo's, bonnet scoop and huge wheels
  14. You have all said everything that need be said. I just wrote my parents a quick email to let them know how today went and thought this sentence sums the whole thing up for me: Cheers all, Steve.
  15. I decided to go a little different with mine. They didn't really stand out on the windows as I don't have tints, but there is a big black area of glass at the back which seemed to fit the stickers perfectly Cheers Al Steve
  16. You can add 1 to the running total. JerryH is coming, but not on the list. I guess it's because he's not in a Scoob, but a McRae fan all the same. Steve.
  17. 1. scoobykev 2. jcscoob I'm out. Got to go through earlier than expected. Steve.
  18. He he, some of us have nothing better to do in our [lots of] spare time
  19. I was just over £400 for '06 WRX, 32 year old male, Dundee, garaged, Trackstar+ etc etc from Direct Line. Not bad since I'm a new customer to them. Steve.
  20. Howzat?! Wheel matched 75% black 75%/30% black (ish!) Wheel matched/split Reminds me of the T5 Volvo touring cars! Steve. Edit: Just noticed this picture name-DSC00555. Very fitting.
  21. If you can get to Dundee train station on Sunday morning I can swing right by the door on my way. Not sure what time I'm heading out tomorrow. Steve.
  22. Me too! Checked out ordering one, but there's a few weeks lead time. You guys got a handful to bring on Sunday? Large preferably. My clothes have been shrinking in the wash over the last couple of years too Steve.
  23. Any chance someone will be recodring this? I don't have Sky, or a recorder of any kind (not a TV watcher!). Steve.
  24. Hi Gus, Hope you don't mind me painting your motor. She's looking schweet! Just did one side quickly, but I'll try and get the whole thing done tonight if I can. Pretend the rear driver side window is open in the mean time. And your back window is out for weight saving. And the rear quarter is ... you get the idea! That's 75% black on the backs and 10% black on the front. I'll take the colour from the wheels when I re-visit her. Cheers, Steve
