  1. Also let your engine breath - get yourself a Typhoone cold air induction kit - this sound FILPPING GREAT (LIKE A SMALL JET HAS BEEN ADDED TO YOUR CAR) and also the gains in alowing your car to breath as well . I went from 270bhp - to - 290.01bhp buy just adding the following 2nd decat (still have 1st cat) 2 1/2" Cat back exhaust system and Typhoon cold air induction kit not bad for an extra 20.01bhp
  2. Try around £495 Inc vat for SIDC people . so not as bad as you think . PM Dave Stone for further details
  3. - Happy Birthday - Just a quick note extra. Still have not seen you (or your car after all its work) at the Bucks meets ????????
  4. Thanks everyone ........ I will be on to you over at DSA to try and see what you can sort out - Thanks again .
  5. Just wanted to add a PPS here - Could you also ask .... Again - I am guessing this could be re-set - but the light will come on again . I was thinking b4 it came on - that I could unplug the sensor in the exhaust and replace it with a Nut - then the car would not Sensor the fault of to much fuel going through ?? MMMmm Maybe !
  6. PS - I did notice someone seemed to have the same problem the other day - BUT I can't find that posting ... Oh silly me !!! can anyone advise of that link as well ! thanks again
  7. Ok - quick run down - I did expect this to come on - but just want to see if anyone can confirm this - and maybe sugest a quick fix ! (Bypass) I have a 2003 Blob eye - and just fitted a full decat . it can ran and still runs 100% perfect BUT today after around 2 - 2 1/2 hours driving (longest drive since the decat) the Malfunction indicator lamp (check engine light) came on ! It was a little shock as I guessed if this was going to come on it would have come on sooner (eg when the decat was fitted)!! Anyways - its staying on " Constant " - and this has happened once before (around a year ago - when i was raceing on the pod but re-set itself after around 30 - 40 min) The book says - If light comes on steadily while driving or does not go out after the engine starts, an emission control system malfunction has been detected. Well this sounds correct as the cat is gone ........ MMMmmmmm !!!!!! Can anyone sugest a way for this to stay of - or a re-set ? Maybe - can I remove the sensor in the exhaust ? or ????? It is one of those lights - that I think should do no damage if i run with it - as again - its sensing that there is to much fuel in the system (exhaust) BUT I found a " CAUTION " in my user manual ... Quote. Continued vehicle operation without having the emission control system checked and repaired as necessary could cause serious damage ! Any ideas - sugestions - Would help please - thanks .
  8. I have to admit - Last year was not as good as the year before . BUT it was still good and a very busy day ... The main way to make it a worth while trip / day out is get there when it starts . and enjoy EVERYTHING there . not just the later stuff ! The price is not really to bad as the kids go free - and there is more to watch over a standard car show at the pod ... That said I am not 100% sure If we will be going as the kids have swiming in the morning - so to make it a good day - I would have to pull them out and get there 1st thing! MMMMmmmmm ?? Not sure TBC
  9. I won't tell you I ended up with a few spare bolts at this point
  10. Let us know when - and where .... and should pop along I am Sure Mr Mono775 would be up for it to ....
  11. COOL I learn so much when fitting my downpipe - I decided to try and fit my new battery today ... (Which I got a a very cool TRADE price - thanks to that main car shop everyone knows of ) 4 Bolts later and all fitted I now feel like a Mechanic - hehe
  12. LOL ..... I have a cream crackered back - and got away with fitting it ( with those bruises and cuts only ) its still the idea of the bolts snapping I did not like and do not like ! - I really took undowing my bolts SLOWlY after they were soaked . Get the pipe - and then I know Wimpy will send you that number. - or I could try and give you a hand (maybe get Mono775 over as well) , Let us know when u have the pipe and we can take a look at your car . Then try and decide .
  13. YES ... ===== ====== I know Wimpy's snapped - but his bloke sorted it out 2 or is it 3 of them are not a problem - if they snap you can just replace them as they just bolt on from both sides - its the other 2 or 3 that screw direct into the turbo . if they snap - that will be fun .. NOT
  14. I must have told him off b4 hand - and he was getting me back it was funny when we walked in Sunday - as he said - Daddy - thats you car - as we walked past YOUR car .... oh dear . thanks - I did like yours as well - Very nice Colour
  15. I have been told the Classic downpipe and the New age downpipe should be the same " THAT I am NOT 100% sure of " But if it is then you may be able to get some of the cheaper 2nd hand s/steel newage / bugeye / blobeye downpipes ... Maybe someone on here knows if this is 100% correct of not ?
  16. the main thing to do - is use LOADS AND LOADS OF WD40 - this will help but make sure you let it soak into the threads .... but still snapping bolts can be a problem - can be fixed - but a Big pain! Mmm - in theory they are not hard to fit - but TRUST ME - after this weekend - I found that all the bolts you need to undo are all in the wrong places That said - I did the job by myself Place a Wanted add on this site (correct area) - see if anyone has a spare -
