  1. Im in PA2 with a 07 wrx wagon under £700, your car must be modified?
  2. The stickers make it noticeable, unless it was another 'welsh' at eaglesham garage.
  3. But what will happen to the resale value of a scoob. Not that i intend to sell.
  4. Mine says £300 which i need to buy this month, so it's £400. The notice said i could not buy on-line till the 15th so i thought i'd leave it till Monday.
  5. Lol, i was thinking you were looking for a seat for your car. Don't buy a seat from Makro, i've had 2 from them and they are crap.
  6. Are these expensive items? Not expensive for the gains in handling IMO. Are they easily fitted? Still says on the site free fitting. Do they work? On Sunday i took a detour from Braehead shopping centre to Paisley via Greenock, Largs, Saltcoats, Kilwinning, Lugton & Barrhead just for the fun of driving.
  7. After reading other comments on this forum over the past year i got ARB's, drop links, ALK, lowering springs and went for the fast road geometry at Hypertech last week. The car drives & corners very well, if i need other mods or want different geometry settings i will go back to Hypertech. They charged me list price for the ABR's, drop links, ALK but fitted theses parts for free. Jim.
  8. Poor driver has been provoked and angered and has now became the victim twice, once for being threatened with a knife and a second time for being sent to jail after being provoked. I wonder how many years the guy got for carrying a knife with intent to use it?
  9. For me the biggest deterrent against speeding is seeing a cop car! I think that a highly visible traffic car with a camera on the roof will make more drivers look at their speed. If they are in an unmarked car and they can't be seen they are only there to 'trap' drivers. Imo!
  10. I diden't explain the £199 bit and i stand to be corrected, but i understand that any claim of £200 or more you are responsible for the defendants costs if you lose.
  11. I got over £400 for a hub and a tyer from Renfrew DC about 10 years back, hit a large pot hole. I knew someone who worked there in a different department who found out if i could claim. I think they told me the damage to the road must have either been reported 7 days before a claim OR it must be obvious that the road has been damaged for some time. Id sent the bill with the above pictures to the roads department they should pay no problem, if they dont and you can be bothered and the claim is £199 or less the small claims court should do the trick.
  12. I'd say power supply too. Make sure the PSU fan is working, sounds like its heating up thats why it worked when you came home from work.
  13. It's doing my head in, what does 'i touch goats' mean
  14. Thats a great price! Don't like to ask but how old are you, do you have any penalty points. Mine was £760.00 10 years no claims, on convictions, standard WRX 07 wagon, i'm 36, car owned by Ltd company.
  15. So i put 30% tint film on the front of my car, i guess that Subaru windows already tinted about 10%? (although i could swear they were clear). That means the cars illegal? I'm seriously thinking about taking them off. The last (and only) time i had 3 points my insurance went up a few hundred quid.
  16. The car was parked in High Street Paisley. He addmited it was his car and had been driving it, they prob had it on the town CCTV anyway. He diden't know he was getting a fine and points. He bought the car with the tints on 5 years ago, I'd say rough justice after all he did remove the tint on demand not like he lied and gave excuses.
  17. As the title says. Was in the pub last night playing poker, the cops pull up outside and start going over a players car. He goes out to see whats wrong. Front widow tints, he said they had a light meter and only 30% light was getting through. The result, told he could not drive the car, they helped him remove the front tints then handed him a £60 fine and 3 penatly points. Location was high street Paisley. I also saw 3 other cars being stopped during the day in Paisley all of them inocent looking 50-60ish year olds in run off the mill cars. Jim.
  18. Theres loads of reviews here Trusted reviews It's always worth looking at this and other review sites. It's not everyday you send about a grand or more on a tv.
  19. Braw, It's snowing heavy in Paisley now. Best excuse if had to stay in and open a bottle of whisky.
  20. You need to get the wii chipped to play your legal backup's of your purchased game disks. I got my Wii fitted with the WiiKey, but i had to send it away (google. ghost2fitter). On other forums i hear that any of the chips are good. But be warned although you CAN play USA & other imports always make sure that it is safe as at least 1 game can brick your wii (Paper Mario which will not brick if you have latest firmware) & a few will leave you with duplicate channels which you can not delete (i have 3 weather & news). The wii gets bricked because it updates the firmware with the USA version which is on the game disk, having the latest PAL firmware MAY stop the wii from being bricked if you have a newer firmware than the one on the import game disk. There is no fix for a bricked wii. Jim.
  21. I've seen loads of these. Get away in Stockholm & Ghost rider are good. Heres a clip
  22. I read that the STI will be £30,000. I also think that limited numbers is a good thing, i remember when i told my mate 8 years ago that i'd bought a Subaru, he said 'whats that?'. Now there more common and not as 'exclusive'.
  23. If you are happy with AOL then £17.99 a month is a good deal. But if your wanting a more stable connection you do not have to use AOL's software to use a AOL Broadband connection, AOL use BT's hardware. You can make a manual connection using new connection wizard, under start-settings-network connections. Select a connection which is always on your user name and password is any of you AOL email accounts. Username= YourAOLscreenname@aol.com Password= password for this screen name You might have to go in to network connections and connect every time you restart your PC. I did this when i had AOL & i could access all AOL blocked sites, stay connected for days on end, and best of all i never heard that b!tch say 'goodbye' when playing poker or quake. If you need a faster connection i suggest trying to see if you can get BE (bethere.co.uk). It's £24.00 per month for 'up to 24mb'. If you are not confident about setting up a new connection and you want AOL software off your PC (you can still check your email from aol.co.uk webmail) phone them up and request a MAC code. When asked why you are leaving tell them you dont like the AOL software, they should talk you through removing AOL and doing the manual connection.
