No problem at all! Not sure if there was a meet on, I saw a quite a few along the A19 from York aswell. That Hatch has definately grown on me!

It retards the timing, over fuels andalso jacks open the idle control valve to allow air into the cylinders when the throttle is closed. This results in fuel in the exhaust manifold which ignites and spins the turbo. Depending on the system you can have positive boost at idle. However that would be a very aggressive system, mine at idle runs at barely any vacuum when running. It IS noticeable when running, contrary to what most nay-sayers erm... say.

They'd probably find someway of punishing you for it if they took a disliking to you. Probably a Section 59 offence. Like most things, don't be daft enough to get caught!

As a show car: Looks like it's been well done. As an Impreza (as in rally-bred performance car): No Comment.

I think it's just the ABS initiating as the wheel is able to lock up as it temporarily loses grip from the dip in the road surface. It's documented in the Impreza FAQ.

I think that is what it does, their are other products more well documented such as the S.E.C.S monitor. I don't run one myself, but have heard only praise about them. Off the top of my head their is a bit of blurb refernce them on Scooby World. Tim.

Mine does this too. As far as I'm aware it's normal. Only seems to do it in the hot weather we're having atm. I put it down to the coolant getting slightly warmed due to high underbody temps. However in winter it's the complete opposite, takes absolutely ages.

I managed it at 17!

Dark blue ones are what I'm after really, otherwise I'm going to go red.
