  1. welcome along mate, have a good un.
  2. Im pretty sure they know who is the registered owner of a car before they even stop you, they get close enought to get a good look at your reg then radio in. I would have thought the fact i have a brand new tax disc on my car is proof that its mot/insured, no? Anyway at least they were on the look out.
  3. Got pulled by the rozzers yesterday morning cause i drive a blue Impreza, apparently 1 got stolen over the weekend. They said it has a pink STI badge on front grill, she said red and white writing on "wing" he said red and white writing on the side of car Said they were stopping all blue scoobs in area. Now i have to produce my documents at local cop shop Told them i would let this forum know about it in case someone tries to sell it here.
  4. HAd an 03WRX and ran on 95 ron no probs, didnt notice any difference in power when i tried vpower
  5. im not an expert mate but maybe some more info may be required here. Apologies if wrong.
  6. Cars registered after 23rd March 06 pay the higher rates.
  7. here's my 2 bobs worth. since owning my scoobs ive had 4 sets of tyres, 1st were pirelli proxis, good tyres for general use, poor when pushed round Kh after a few laps seemed to let go too easy, 2nd toyos, very very good in wet, wee bit noisy in the dry when pushed round corners, were good round KH with little to zero degen and very consistent, 3rd set, Falken's, for the price i was very pleased with these tyres, good all round grip in dry and wet, poor in snow but what do you expect from a v grooved tyre, poor wear, 4th set, F1 assymetrics, only had a few weeks but so far feel really spongy going round long corners, find myself have to correct oversteer, adjusted pressure to 34 all round, still same. seem to have good grip on all surfaces but will know better next week. also have to say these tyres are 235/40/18 so they are 10mil wider than standard, dunno if this has anything to do with it. john
  8. Hilarious. Got a sore head now trying to work out what they were saying in his questions, to far out for me.

  12. Not sure exactly where in blantyre, think it was on the road down to the train station, 1st house on righ of that road.
  13. Pretty sure i seen one like that gathering moss/cob webs and other sh it in a drive in Blantyre.
  14. Im not going to argue against the Austaralian crash stats, but my brother was driving a Richard Burns limited edition, had a head on collision with a car prob doing about 80mph. I swear to you everyone who saw that car thought the driver was dead, hell it even spread round the village we lived in he was dead, but all he suffered was seatbelt burns/bruises and the other driver a broken foot. From what i saw the classic seems a pretty safe car to be in and i drive a new age. On the debate over classic/newage my opinion from driving some classics was "shed" and i mean no disrespect to the car, it was just noisy, harsh, rattly, jerky everything my newage isnt. Would like to drive another classic again after ive driven my newage for another comparison. maybe im just getting old.
