  1. Each to their own, aint against graphics at all its just how you like them that makes all the difference. 'Shake n Bake' are what the two racing drivers are dub named in Talladega Nights!
  2. Went to see the car this afternoon. Met DRB5's Dad who was an absolute gent, spent around an hour just chatting to him. Very helpful. Car has been locked in a container since last October, is in immaculae condition for its age with just a small mark on the passenger seat that squints the perfectionists eye. A good detail should see the car looking like it did when it left the factory. Now I need to speak to Mr Bank Manager...
  3. Have been toying with buying DRB5's Impreza but as he's on holiday, I cannot view the car. Problem being Im not in the area often, and I have limited time to see the car. Does anyone know where he stays in Balloch or where the car could be sitting so I can go have a peek?
  4. RB320 spotted in a Milingavie bodyshop. Didnt see the plate, and unkown if it was taken there from Halleys. Had a crushed N/S/F wing, couldnt see the rest though so couldve been damaged further. Garage is at the traffic lights before the bend leading to Marks and Sparks. Anyone on here?
  5. Cracking car bud. Just out of curiosity, are these cars steep to buy being limited?
  6. Nah they arent expensive new at all. Theres a Subaru scrapyard in Paisley just of Neilston Road. Guys a bit of a tanker though.
  7. Hi Richie, hows things? We still ok for the McRae run? Yeah taking my time this time, understanding better what exactly I want out the car and basing judgements on purchase with a lot of information ive gained from here. Ideally RA, as ive seen a good few of them in my pricerange, allbeit their rough around the edges but I guess thats what I want from a project.
  8. Nice car mate, in and out of Kirkintilloch a lot with work so I'll keep my eyes peeled for you bud. Personal opinion is keep the wheels, and powdercoat them anthracite. Seen them that way before and they look outstanding. Stewarty
  9. Both are excellent cars mate, its just what the cars going to be used for I need to think about really. Of course want it sound inside and out, but if I can save money performance wise with a modified block to start out with that has a reasonably good background then I'll be swayed towards the silver classic. Im not making a move until the end of this week as per buying a car, so keep me updated on your position as far as buying the car. If we have the money at the same time, I'll of course take a step back. Stewarty
  10. Bodywise I would totally agree, immaculate looking car but the modifications and the quite highly regarded ownership of the silver classic tends to pull me. Now need to have a think!!
  11. If an Agricultural workshop cant bend it, then he's no chance thats for sure!
  12. Just give me a PM mate. Plenty of tools and equipment use there.
  13. I have heating equipment at work. Workshop is the next farm up from AVA behind Glasgow airport. Can be organised for you to use it on a Saturday afternoon.
  14. Surely fabrication would need to be the route, so that the pivot point could be adjusted.
  15. Can the part be taken to a workshop for heating/bending or do you need it on site when the box comes out Jim
  16. Classic for me mate. Just bought the girl a new Ibiza, have a van and an L200 as company cars, so just a toy for me. I like the silver classic but the white classic looks ridiculiosuly virginal! What do you guys think? Pros and cons!?
  17. Ok mate, well if you could keep me updated.
  18. Are you anywhere near buying the car bud? I wouldnt want to steal a car off someone lilke that, but its exactly what im looking for and would probably make an offer on the car tonight if you werent close to buying!? Cheers
  19. Looks like a great building block, reckon this lad is on often?
  20. Im from Barrhead, so if anyone knows any decent cars for sale around the area gimme a shout!
  21. So ok, hadnt planned on buying another Impreza until at least next year, but after shuffling a few finances and sticking in some O.T I'm now looking for a second Impreza. Has to be Classic, has to be around 3500 and it will be an ongoing project that will probably be stood in a workshop under construction for a bit. What is the best classic model that is obtainable in that price range, to start a project on i.e ecu, diff etc. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. I know a bit about these cars, but not anywhere near what some of the "tuners" know on here, im only a mere agricultual engineer. lol Stewarty
  22. I use Sennheiser for DJing as cancelling the background noise out and static is essential. Not only well worth the money for sound/cancelling but also extremely durable which is a plus for when theyre battered around in your bag or case. Also try Pioneer headphones. They dont advertise noice cancelling as such, but for £80 less than the Sennheiser they have large drivers in the headset doing a great job of drowning out static. Stewarty
  23. The day you decide to sell that car, PM me cos I'll have it!
