Hi mate,
Can't help you with a local garage but if you were that desperate and could travel, you could maybe contact Craigmcd who has a garage in Glasgow or Badbaz in Lesmahagow.
Not close but thought you deserved a reply at least!
The new EBC Bluestuff pads are getting good reviews. Apparently really good from cold. Ian Godney is praising them as well. Told me the fronts would be £110. That would be for a 330mm disc so don't know if standard size would be any cheaper.
Mmm...I'm thinking that if that was me I'd had flown up expecting to pay the asking price!
Try haggling and anything off would be a bonus!
Just means you'll sell it to someone else who it'll mean more to
Hi mate and welcome!
Got any pics of the car?
Whereabouts are you? Check out the Events section for any local meets
Guess you can't go wrong with starting with your exhaust. Full decat or sports cat, panel filter and maybe a wee remap might start things off
With the power increase, are you thinking about handling/brake mods?
Have a look on www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk which will give you a good guide.
Yeah, as above for me.
Have a look on the group buy section on Scoobynet for the BC's and contact Bren at Apex Performance. It might say the group buy has officially finished but he's been known to take an order at the group buy price after that date.
Ride height suits me
With winter round the corner, would you not be better with another cheaper HT Autos one?
What happened to yours? Mine survived fine considering it was acting like a snowplough sometimes!!!
Hi mate.
I started off with Eibach springs on my wagon which lowered it a wee bit.
Eventually wanted to go lower so went with BC coilovers. More expensive yes, but there are 30 settings for ride stiffness.
Got my geometry done after fitting.
Ok, cheers Chris. Now just to pop to my local Halfords and get some...or not! With not driving for a few weeks I've got time on my side to get it delivered!
Checking my levels today and could do with a top up. Think I used Helix 5/30 before but after reading up on it again, I'm wondering if I should try Millers 10/60? Car is used for normal road use with some 'accelerations'. Should I stick with the 5w as the weather is turning colder? Will I notice any difference? And the handbook says to use 5w/30. Car will get serviced soon so if I top up with Millers etc now, I'd get the oil change with that as well.
Cheers
Hi mate,
I think there have been a few of these discussions and you'll always get a mixed bag of answers.
Some will say that powder coating lasts etc but the guy who painted my wheels told me the opposite etc.
My wheels costs slightly more than powder coating but it was from someone who I knew would do a good job
and I also had the full spectrum of colours/shades available to me.
Not sure if that's the case with powder coating.
Here's the finished result on mine anyway. Painted by Jim at JB Coachworks in Paisley.
Mmm, while I didn't like the hatch to start with, it did grow on me.
In the first photo where you can see a hatch in the background, the hatch looks a lot better.
The back end looks....er...American to me.
I know what I mean anyway!!
