cheers dan ive told him that ,he is getting to be a bit of a collector of cars at the minute got 5 at last count he has a mint mark 5 rs 2000 he has had since new golf gti astra sri told him to sell the golf and astra and get the subaru get it mint and keep it neil

he is needing convinced cause he is a miserable fifer! hes getting it from a relative of his if he wants it for about the 2k mark its just the whole running costs he is a bit wary of just bought anew house and a little one now too it was just to tell him how much it was probably worth after a good clean etc so if he thinks hes getting a bargain he will get it i bet!! neil

trying to help a mate out buying his first subaru hes been offered a terzo 3 r plate my98 i think full service history hpi clear etc etc 90k miles the odd mark and stone chip woman driver over 50 how much you think he should offer and how much do you think its worth? neil

its a 92 wrx moved the wire for the lamda about and its away again im in dire need of a new lamda but to dear tp buy a new one! neil

on ebay at the minute an exedy one is about the 150 mark and id say about 200 for fitting maybe 250 neil

no cat on the car at all replaced it about 4 weeks ago been ok since could this be my lamda sensor goosed? neil

had a nightmare today lights coming on and off all day had an abs one on sorted that cel light come on sort of sorted that now ive got this one god knows what it is help? neil

th clutch in my wrx started slipping on saturday during a spirited drive following my mates r6 its only doing it now and again not all the time mainly at about 4.5k is there anything i could do to delay it a bit or is it goosed? and what clutch should i buy? neil

i see your point most of the time im running 225/35/18's on mine but it handes great i think and thats just on pirelli and falken rubber small amount of tramlining but thats just cause the roads round here are crap!! ive got 15's on it at the mo with 215/65 rubber and what a difference it is to drive on the straight bits no bumps or shudders but through the corners rubbish but it does have rubbish tyres at the mo i bet it will feel better on 18's or 17's i was told by a guy who tarmaced(sp) a few scoobs years ago that he thought they were great with just 16's and good rubber neil

this might be me being silly buy why dont you just get your wheels you have at the mo powder coated white you still get the look for a fraction of the cost neil

yeah john i had do mine i got the bulbs from the maplin website 79p each they are called grain of rice bulbs i think and only took a couple of mins to fit neil http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criter...y=25m2&SD=Y thats the link they are now called subminature bulbs now!!

well it was only the one plaster cause im a bit off a pussy these days and always wear gloves at work on the car etc so the hands were ok but ive got the mother of all chesty coughs from lying under the car when its 0 degres outside! at one point we had a three foot breaker bar on the top two bolts to get them loose!! talk about tight!!! and the pipe i got is the one straight off the turbo and its on a classic but im sure gus could sort out one for any car i bet neil

well i have to say after fitting my new decat pipe and all the bits of hassle i had with it what a difference its made sounds better goes better mpg is up a bit too(old pipe was snapped for a week of driving) throttle response is better too so all i have to add is thanks for the help those who pointed me in the right direction on a few points and to gus for getting me the pipe in the first place cheers neil

well got the codes and it seems to be a knock sensor again and the pressure switch the pressure switch is that the thing bolted to side of the drivers strut tubes go to and from the air box etc? neil

its first on my list of tomorrows to do's i think its the lamda it dont look so good neil

just wondered if anybody else has experianced this after fitting my new decat pipe its all running fine bar a few teething probs but when its runnimg all is fine but on idle the check light comeas on any ideas? neil

well thats the pipe fitted but still got a couple of things to do i need a new lamda sensor as my old one is fecked but its not the type ive seen before on asubaru so ill need to track one down but because of this the engine check light is coming on and off well i need to do an ecu check thingy to make sure but all its nearly done but to be honest never again!!! neil

euan that link aint working for me but all is not lost yet they aint that rounded as when the spanner came off the first time i left that one and went on to the next so i woundnt kake a right mess of them but i know my mate will come up trumps for me and craig it wont be that bad i bet just get some better tools than i have at the mo neil
