as all of us know the petrol went up last week in all the papers on the news etc got myself to the local shell yesterday and again today and its went down 2p a litre whats gong on? im not complaining just wish it would go down more often than up neil

im looking for 5 new exhaust studs for a new up pipe ive just bought (cheers joe) if anyone can point me in the right direction please and also how hard is it to fit ive done all the rest of the exhaust myself its just the procedure i need if you know what i mean cheers neil

well i did mine for a laugh a few weeks ago 93 wrx import 120k miles 170 quid i know it aint worth much but hey come on!! neil

i believe its all about luck when buying older performance cars my subaru has clocked on to 191,000kms which is a shade under 120,000 miles ive had it three years gets serviced when i remember use it everyday and the only problem ive had in that time is the exhaust touch wood!! id love a new one but cant get finance at the mo as im on my notice but hopefully getting kept on but im a great believer in if it aint broke dont fix it so ill be keeping mine as long as poss its just had its 16th birthday!! why not keep the rb get it up to a good standard and buy yourself something else for daily us ie another cheaper subaru! neil

just like to a big thanks to a couple people on the site firstly gus for his endless help and supply of new exhaust parts and secondly scoobzie for helping me with a cat for the mot hopefully the car(which sounds and goes a lot better) will sail through those noise and emission issues on monday feels like ive got a new car!!! cheers again guys neil

you could have my back box that is stupid loud F.O.C when it comes off! it failed the mot cause of the noise!! neil

im sure someone can verify that one jodie thats always been a grey area!! and joe and scobzie ill drop you both a p m as regards to the cats im going to let it go through first and see what happens just waiting on my new exhaust to come gid!! neil

judge for yourselfs guys right let me try and understand this my cars emissions are too high which i reckon if i do the over due service bit of additive it will go through but this with the cat, on my failure sheet it doesnt say anything about the cat just exhaust being to loud so if i fit a nice new quieter back box im on to a winner?? neil ps the problem really have is the wee guy who usually does my mot was not there and the boss done it!

Another thing I'd like to ask does everybody on here with a car that has been decatted change it back for mot time? Neil

First off I'm not really ranting about my mot station just a bit peeved it has passed there in the same guise two years running with no cat I'm not bothered about having to buy a new back box cause I wanted one anyway but this is a good way of getting by the wife! But at the end of the day I thought a cat Was for emissions not noise reduction! Neil

cheers guys but at the end of the day i could do with a newer quiter exhaust as it is way to loud for the wife and kids etc we end up going places in my wifes car cause of the noise! but i love it! think ive got a back box sorted just the emissions to sort out and scoobzie i might take you up on that if it doesnt pass next time neil

car passed the emissions with this set up last year! neil

2 1/2" decat downpipe, 3" middle section with 2 small silencer things then a sort of manipulated japanese 5" back box all joined properly neil

looking for ideas to reduce my emissions as it failed the mot today on this and the back box being too loud going to service the car as it could do with it anyway but just incase the uy in the garage was trying to sell me some additive stuff so what do you lot use? help! neil p.s i really need a loan of a back box with a 3" flanged end!!!!!1
