  2. ive had a newish bootlid for the car for ages finally got onto making sure it fitted properly but its in primer and white(car is silver) so im looking at getting it painted to match the car i also need an sti spoiler and once i source one a new bumper all painted so im asking if anybody can give me some ideas on price and places to go to get the work done cheers neil
  3. Budget wise anything up to 12 ish not to bothered about uk or import really looking for something a bit different even if it ends up an older sti with big power not that bothered Neil
  4. ive had my subaru for three years come this week and ive been away today looking at older model skylines and evo 5+6 but still think i want another subaruthe only kind of cars i kept for a short time were shiite ones! got my head turned today by a nice classic type r! neil
  5. Na kenny I feel I must name and shame the garage it's the one in polbeth just outside west Calder on the A71 As I said before it's only 3 miles from the other shell station I take the old price watch thing esso used to do don't apply to them! Neil
  6. went out ths morning for a spot of fuel but as i was going in the opposite direction from my usual lizzie Brice Shell station (livingston) where i was paying 105.9p for a litre of v-power before i went on holiday(where super unleaded may i add was on $2.89 a GALLON) its now up to 107.9 but hey thats not bad i went to another shell station only a mere 3 miles from my local one went to half fill it and then noticed the litre price fek me 117.9p!!!!!!!! i only put in a fiver cause thats day light robbery how can they get away with it i reckon we should start a boycott scheme on the site as to regards dear petrol stations disgusted makes you think about a move abroad eh!! neil

  9. looking for a new car if i can find one in my budget and really has to be a trade car as it will be half financed been looking at garages sort of local but no luck so far so if anybody can point me in the right direction that would be great ideally blue sti lowish miles and under ten k! thanks neil

  13. im not that keen on the new shape sub but you can buy a new wrx from motorpoint for 12999!! much cheapness if wasn't getting threatened with redundancy id buy one neil

  15. my wrx is 17 this year and still feels good to drive etc it does need some cosmetic surgery soon and the odd bush nut bolt and washer changed but i love it ill post a wee pic of it. it certainly doesn't look 17 neil
  16. i have pocketdyno and im reserved sometimes in its accuracy at the mo my best run is 0-60 in 5.85 secs! and a torque figure of 600nm i wish neil
  17. good luck mate ive done this to mine and its a right mess tried everything from petrol to specialist stuff nothing so far if you get it shifted let me know how you did it please neil
  18. ill tell you what they would have to try and prize the money from my cold frozen dead hand at that price!!! i use farmers next to me in bellsquarry livingston they have worked on all my cars for 7 years for mots etc and the are fine and ill bet they are alot cheaper than that neil
  19. ive just done front discs and pads on my 92 classic and it was a doddle bit of wd40 on the bolts two bolts out caliper off old discs on new ones on hardest part as you say is prozing the piston back but the wrong end of a wooden shafted hammer or even a g clamp if its stiff and it will go honestly im no mechanic by any means but it is straight forward get 4hero and yourself mystery and we could do both cars on the same day!!!!! neil

  22. well ian been reading up on a few things and you do seem to know a few things about boost. me i like the cadbury kind! on a more serious note been having a wee problem for a while now sometimes the car only boosts to 7 psi but only sometimes not actually had it for a few weeks now but i know it will come back so i was thinking about cleaning the boost solenoid first then fitting a boost controller of some kind ive got a cel light on at the mo(only when totally off the throttle) which says its a pressure sensor fault been trying to track one down but no joy help! car is running today like a dream but i know these probs are here and need them sorting! neil

  24. cheers guys been out all night in the snow with tyres in big buckets no bubbles even checked with industrial gas leak detector and cant see anything! think ill get them checked out anyway they are getting refurbed in the summer anyway neil
