  15. I have such a huge lump in my throat after reading this thread and looking at the pictures, I really do not know what to say. This club is simply the best I have ever been involved with, and it makes me so incredibly proud to be a part of it. I would really have liked to have been there with you all as would a number of the other members here on the Isle of Man. We did however pay our respects in our own little way, we met in Douglas then convoyed up to the Point of Ayre, our closest point to Scotland, where we had a 2 minute silence followed by the playing of The Flower of Scotland by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards pipes and drums.
  16. Morning Dudes A big thank you to all who came along yesterday, was a bit chilly but it went really well I feel. Hope you all have a good week
  17. Thanks guys. Not sure about needing the good luck Graeme but I will sure take it all the same I hope you would have all received an email from me yesterday evening, if you have not please let me know via PM with your current email address as soon as possible and I will forward it on to you.

  20. Thanks Richard I somehow dont think I need to introduce myself but before moving to the Isle of Man I was part of the original set up team of SEAT Enthusiasts, and was Regional Organiser for Scotland before moving onwards and upwards to become the Regional Organisers CoOrdinator (I think you know what I mean ). So I have a little bit of an idea of what is involved in the role of RO, I just hope I can do as good a job in the position as Richard has over the past years. I already have a few ideas for activities and meets, so keep your eyes open in our lurvely new Manx section of the forum. I would like to finish off by saying even though you are not leaving us Richard I wish you all the best, and I am sure everyone will join me in saying a big thank you for everything you have done for the Manx side of SIDC. I hope you manage to find a buyer for your Hawkeye and get back in a classic real soon. Oh and of course huge congrats on passing your bike test
  21. Graeme, there is a thread in the Scottish section everyone on the site has been contributing to, Phil is going to print out the whole thread and pass it onto his family. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=106241
  22. My last pic was taken as Colin prepared his car for the first stage of this years RBS Manx Rally
  23. Really dont know what to say, I am totally stunned. Colin has been an inspiration to me my entire driving life and as with others here, iss partly behind the reason for me buying a Impreza. I was lucky enough to meet Colin, all be it briefly, only this year when he competed in the RBS Manx Rally in his Mk2 Escort, although I had seen him compete many times before. My thoughts are with the McRae family for their tragic loss, along with the two other families mourning their losses also. Colin you are a truly irreplaceable motorsport icon and hero.
  24. Cheers Paul, after all this I might be able to keep up with Charlie when you guys come back over next year
