  6. ive got my own valeting business and a coupkle of my customers have used chips away , with varying reports, one said he thought they had done a brilliant job and price not too bad , the other said they were cr*p, price was steep and wasnt happy with their attitude in general. why not try bodymaster, thats the one i recommend to any of my customers. they are also mobile and will give you a quote on inspection, but can also give you a rough idea of cost without seeing. iain
  7. many thanks mate, ill try that re boot and also try looking for specialist breakers, any idea what will fit a 98 terzo, as in direct replacement, if im looking for seats from a classic?

  12. thanks for the info. i have posted some pics already ( see pics of my car).,
  13. thanks for that stevie, its good to know. unfortunately i dont know how the car was treeated before i got it but obviously i wouldnt have bought it if i thought bit was a binner. only thing ive had to do was replace both front wheel bearings, and new timing belt. do you have any mods on it that you think may be worthwhile for mine, also what brake do you have?
  14. Just wondering if there are any terzo owners amongst us who could let me know of their experiences with the car. ive not had mine all that long and apart from some niggly faults with it , it seems to be fine, but just wondered if i need to look out for anuything in partricular with this edition. any feedback would be gratefully received. its a 1998 r reg btw[Y] (no.54) ta very much
  15. Thats bang out of order matey, some people just dont give a damn. there seems to be a mentality that thinks if youve got a nice car an its expensive then you can afford to pay for repairs out your own pocket. i bought a brand new cliio 172 cup and only had 14 miles on it,parked it noutside mmy house and some fecker pranged it within an hour!
  16. sorry chaps, but apart from my own, i love dirty cars coz ive got my own valeting business ha ha! more dirty cars = more spending vouchers. seriously though, it is really frustrating at this time of year, to get your car gleamin an then see your hard work gone in 60 seconds.[]
  17. thanks, i used BODYWORX in broxburn, good bunch of lads who took their time to get it right for me. it was a full respray on account of the previous owners botched attempts at colour coding, plus me carelessly whacking the splitter off a low kerb!!
  18. sorry maybe should have said that after the bodyshop it went in to the garage for a service and some remedial work so in total was away for bout 5 weeks. wasnt actually polish either i put diamond brite paint protection on it.
  19. thanks mate yes good old ie 7
  20. just a couple of pics of my car taken just after i got it back from bodyshop an gave it a wash an polish, still work to do .

  23. Thanks mate, an just glad i was pointed in the right direction as ive not had the scoob long so am new to this.[]
  24. As mentioned in my initial post, im looking to get the brakes changed om my 98 terzo, and would be grateful for any feedback as to type , size etc, based on a budget of 500- 1000 quid, bearing in mind im ruuning on 8x18's. much thanksness.
