Bit below the belt that.
In one of the clips on YouTube the file is of a passenger riding in a blue newage, and I think, by the shape of the scoop, it is a bugeye. Scoobzie/Diablo/RACERX drives a blue bugeye. The driver in the clip isn't wearing gloves and it looks more like a spirited run out in the hills than a joyride in a nicked motor.
I just can't help thinking that there is something more to this than just some prat posting links he randomly found on YouTube.
Where is Milton by the way??

i apoligise mate mis-understood what you meant
but totally agree with you to be honest,
the thing that annoys me is that if somebody is in my car trying to start it and i hit him with a bat
im the 1 in the court for using to much force but the scumbag trying to drive away gets a slap on the wrist
a fine if a wee bit of justice is done then he sues me
to be honest guys this country is a joke for law abidding citizens.
if your a criminal or junkie your jamming
so f**K it why dont we all become strains on the society and claim benefits
sorry for the hissy fit
Unfortunatly, it is the country we live in.
To be honest, if someone broke into my house late at night with a wepon demanding the keys, I would hand them to them. Isn't worth an argument or myself or my partner ending up in hospital. Thats what the insurance is for.
That is not an invite to any local criminals mind. The house has a seriously wired up alarm that splits your ear drums when it goes off, and the car a tracker so you won't get far before it gets found!

well if somebody reports it to the police then it might stop somebody elses pride and joy getting nicked
even if it stops 1 persons car getting done its worth it
just to let you all know that car park is bishopbriggs retail park
But that was my point earlier in the thread. If you are concerned that you have found allegedly stolen cars on YouTube, then report it to the police. If you know the guys name or alias, then pass to the police. Don't encourage them by posting links on a forum. If it was my car that had been nicked, I wouldn't want a video of the thieving little ****s driving it posted on this forum. I would however thank anyone who brought such a video quietly to my attention and I would pass details to the police.
This thread is still not going to stop my car, or anyone elses car getting stolen. Scoobzie/Diablo/RACERX reporting his concerns to the police, or even crimestoppers might do.

still the same patter ass usual on here this is what i will do just sit back and laugh when one of your cars gets nicked OH HOW I WILL LAUGH ?
And how is posting up a few links showing people driving allegedly stolen cars going to stop my car getting nicked?
-
It is scoobzie.
So RACERX/scoobzie/Diablo - I should really apologise for baiting you a wee bit. Very easy to do though as you can see.
You managed to hide it well for quite a few months there. I'm impressed. I went looking this morning though and realised it was you. Posting from the same IP address only days after you were banned. Very amateur.
How's tricks?
Come to think of it, I remember someone saying a couple of months back they had seen Scoobzie's car at Hypertech or somewhere and it had RACERX on it as a 'user name'. Adds up now.

Surely posting up the links is just giving them the kudos they crave for managing to steal a specific type of car. People (as I did) will go through the links and view on YouTube, upping their number of 'views' and encouraging them even further. If you think a crime has been committed then pass details to the police. If you specifically recognise a car as being nicked from someone you know or someone on here then speak to the person, or PM them on here. They can then also contact the police with reference to their crime number.
I agree that they are little ****s and should get whats coming to them but I for one will not be flooding Milton with Imprezas on Friday and Saturday night as you suggest in your other post. I would prefer an evening in my local pub rather than somewhere I don't know, getting bricks hurled at me.
-
Have you thought about going to the police with this information?
Got to agree with Stephen, might be an idea to pass the information onto the Police who may be able to deal with the little **** if it is indeed correct rather than posting it up here.

At least there are plenty standard bugeye headlights to be had if oven heated de-tangoing goes wrong.
Avoid cheap aftermarket sets from Ebay.
Morettes, UK300 style and STI headlights come up on Ebay now and gain but are normally in excess of £300 for a decent set.
I have a set of STI headlights in the garage (not for sale mind ). Remember they are not plug in and go as the wiring on the WRX and STI are different. Put the STI lights on mine last summer but the way they are wired up, the dipped beam goes off when the full beam goes on and ended up taking them back off again. Really need to take them to an electrician and get them wired up to work properly, get the alignment sorted, try a set of decent bulbs and give them another go. The offside light just doesn't quite want to fit either.
Wouldn't mind a set of UK300 style lights.

Looking good there.
Will be off to JB Coachworks myself soon to get the bodywork tidied up.

Great idea if anyone listens to the comments suggestions.......

Ok guys simple question. Since i bought the scooby (04 Blobeye,WRX, UK car) it's always been filled with BP Ultimate, Shell V-Power or Tesco Super.
Here's the question.....
With fuel costs going up again can i put normal Unleaded in the tank. I know it'll have an impact on performance but will the car run ok on it. I know JDM cars need to run on 'Super' but my understanding is UK cars will work fine on standard fuel, i've just put the good stuff in cos it give you a little bit more.
Cheers in advance.
A standard UK WRX will run fine on 95 RON.

Welcome
I am just up the road in Dunlop.

Just to let you know silverburn tesco 99 back working filled up last night
Was in last night. All '99 pumps are off again!

Slightly off topic but when I was out in Oz a couple of years ago we stayed with our friends parents out in the bush. There was great excitement that week as their Ford Falcon had just clocked past the 900,000 Kms mark. Think that works out at over 550,000 miles!

Thought I'd do a quote just to see as my renewal is due in May .. I'm 37 , 9yrs NCD , in Glasgow ..
Now my car is a standard WRX Wagon with STi front Winglets, Prodrive Backbox , and some Prodrive stickers .. Massive mods eh?!
4 companies will insure me!! Wtf is going on?!?!
Ok Bell And Admiral will insure me but both over £600
Currently with Elephant ..hope they are better when the time comes for renewal!
Steve
Edited to say did this thro Comparethe market.com
Elephant, Bell and Admiral are all the same company.
I am with Admiral for the Scooby and Bell for the Corolla. The Mrs insures her Swift through Diamond, who are also part of Admiral!
Using Compare the Meerkat and the like is all very well, but the prices you get will have no benefits and huge excesses. Also many companies won't quote on those sites when you mention mods, no matter how simple, yet are fine when you phone them direct. Got that issue with the Mrs' Swift which has non standard alloys and front fogs! I would take anything the comparison websites say with a big pinch of salt.

I have another 6 inches of the stuff and no jeep!! Hopefully I can get the scooby out the drive in the morning
My Impreza is still at Hypertech, just got me Corolla at the moment so only two wheel drive for me. Really piling down in Ayrshire at the moment. Strangely though, was out earlier and it was clear and rainy less than a mile down the road!!

Well, a nice surprise today.
My renewal with Keith Michaels is due at the start of April.
Over the last couple of years it had been £450 and then after doing a lot
of mods it had gone up by about 5% to just under £500.
So, nice to see my new policy through at £430
Had tried A Plan who came back at £650!
KM's were about £630 for me, on a standard power WRX. Full NCB, garaged etc, and only about 5 miles or so from you. Still paying £480 with Admiral. Insurers must like you!
-
so i popped to tesco silverburn for some super 99 and was told that they have plenty petrol but the pumps are not working
If they have a tank full of 99, then it must be getting pretty old. The pumps haven't worked since about Christmas!
-
I am in East Ayrshire and now use Hypertech in Bonnybridge for all my service work. Not exactly local but the service is second to none and well worth the travel. Getting the geometry done there next week. £55 I think Duncan said.

What size of tyres are you looking for?
I'd be wary of budget brands. Had Federals on it when I bought it. Awful. Been running Avons on it for the last three years. Really good to begin with but as the wear went on, they killed the handling of the car. Just picked up some Goodyear Eagle F1s and they have transformed the car. And at £80 a pop from Camskill, you canny whack it (17 inch).
I run all sorts of bargain basement tyres on my daily runner (Corolla). From Barums to Regals and Tigars. Most are a bit ropey at best but, the Star Performers I currently have on are the worst tyre I have ever used by a long long way.
Enduro I think are at the bargain basement level and I'd avoid. Got a mate who runs Kumhos on his GT4 and seems to like them.

I agree too - the maps are, in some cases, nearly a year old so not the most reliable way of trying to find a car to steal.
Are you going to cover the car up when you take it anywhere, cover it up outside your house/work etc?
My Impreza is sitting on the drive as clear as day on Google Streetview. Was taken in March last year. However, I don't live there anymore!
-
Looks really good. Well done Personally, I think taking the height down to no higher than the wing mirror would give you something spot on.
-
Welcome
Stunning motor you got there.

I have that problem with mine at the moment. But the power steering squeals like hell on full lock and on cold days. Fluid fine so hoping it is just the belt needing adjusting or something. Could do without having to replace the pump. But the way my luck is, it will probably be the pump!
