  1. Na wiz prob taking it easy and concentrating on where the most annoying squeak is coming from think i have traced it to behind the intercooler so suspect one of the brackets or fixings. Got it booked into T&C to get it checked and fixed under warrenty so fingers crossed they get it sorted as after 4 days I aint impressed in the noise but am impressed in the car
  2. Never saw you, was prob on auto pilot mode.
  3. well been out playing and on mine its coming from behind intercooler. I think its either a intercooler mount, engine mount if there's one behind there or a pipe etc rubbing.
  4. thanks for the comment, yours looks lovely too.
  5. i have a creak in a 56 sti and i think i have traced it to the gromit that holds the bonnet holder upper in place thats the cause. will grease it today and see what happens let you know.
  6. yep, uploaded to flicker instead.

  9. looking good, its sunny today so hopefully he'll get shiny pics.
  10. Am still waiting for a shot oh the type R Cheers again Gavin. Gavin can prob tell you better but I think the MAF went and that screwed the ECU up. Cheers ma dear. I'll have to pop down and see the leggacy closer than just following. I'm sure you will. Have to see if I can do as good a job cleaning mine as you did with rich's.
  11. Well after being gutted on tuesday when I went to pick up my Impreza to find out the ECU had fried it's self just before I got there and ending up coming back up the road in a Diesel forrester which was very nice to drive. Mine got delivered this morning after having a new ECU installed(£1200 so thank god I never had to pay for it) and I've got a sore face from grinning. It's a 56 plate Silver Hawkeye STi with 7k on the clock. Will get pics up at some point. So big thank you to Gavin at Ian grieves for sorting me out and also giving me his own car to get my self back up the road. Finally got pics
  12. he may actually be telling the truth as my understanding of the impreza engine/ecu is that it isn't as adaptive as say an audi 1.8T ecu so with the mods you've listed above it may need one. Can someone confirm if i'm rnot speaking out my a***?
  13. what was the fault?
  14. scotty it was confirmed last night that 9 uk and 1 european KCA personel were on board. Have heard that a few are possibly local to me. I am unsure who the other 4 work for. My thoughts go out to there families and friends.
  15. sorry dunk miss read your post.
  16. dunk it is the second bond chopper to go down. the one at etap last month was there's.
  17. watching the news and sound's like its been a tecnical issue and its not went down soft. I can't see the news getting any better. My thoughts go out to the families involved as I know what its like sitting waiting to hear any news.
  18. Gav you have a goat in your inbox
  19. from what gav's saying it looks like prices have picked up but a lot of dealers are tryingt o compensate from down turn in sales by still offering P/X prices from a few months ago.
  20. there was a t20(think it was that) on pistonheads that i would have went to see when i get home if it hadn't sold, Bit gutted that spec g went before i could get anything done about my car. but i'm sure it was not ment to be.
  21. just a case of supply and demand then?
  22. grant that white one is mint and would be tempted but going by his posts on scooby net there's no point even trying to bargan.
  23. I wish they would realise, I know I have lost a bit on mine but I don't uy cars as investments. I'll give you 10k and well call it a deal? Whats the reason behind this Gav? you probably best placed to let us know since your in the trade. Saying that if it's ian grives that you work at if my memory is correct use seem to be once of the garages that's head aint up in the clouds.
  24. As the title says really, Am looking at getting an other impreza looking at 2006 on hawkeys and the prices i'm seeing are just completely random, from subaru dealers to private. A lot of the dealers are cheaper than the private sellers. And some are just plain stupid. What should a low milage 2007 sti come in at? Also if anyone fancy's swapping plus cash there way for my A3 3.2v6 dsg feel free to give me a shout.
  25. grinder? or hacksaw? can help you with both. But I would try any local bodyshop.
