Barry, Have you fitted the new version sti calipers up front ? Was there any messing about with pcd's to get them on at all ? Cracking motor mate, well done. Have a similar 'less is more' attitude as yourself when it comes to mods Craig.
-
Cheers Hacky will have a looksy at that site Craig.

Hullo abody, after checking over previous posts re. this still cannae decide. Have got an 03 wrx with the basic mapping bits fitted so no great power levels, never see's a track but is used around the 'B' roads now and again; what would be the oil of choice ? Reason for asking is I'm getting the same symtoms as some on here when engaging second when cold (sticky movement) Thanks everyone, Craig.

Class We've all been there mate Craig

Just lock your doors with the key mate - tadaaa no alarm Craig.

Get yourself across to Detailing World mate and ask if there are any detailers local to you

Think from memory, Honda has quite soft paint thus making it that wee bit easier to correct by hand using a foam applicator and the relevant polish (although still quite a task). PM Blue Dragon on here I would imagine he would at least give you a bit of guidance if you didn't want to shell out the readies for someone like him to do it for you. To buy a polisher and the min kit to do the job without killing your arms would be about £200 (this includes a G220 polisher),so it's really up to you mate if you want to get the gear. You can always work on family / friends cars to recoup some of your cash Craig.

Alright chief, hows things over in v-tec land then. Havenae seen ye for an age; you'll have to nip over to the hoose and scrounge another of my infamous crap coffees Craig.

Must admit never had a problem from Gary maself. Have never used T&C personally but at Eden he helped me out with a few things, with no issues what so ever. Actually speaking of Eden has anyone heard from the big man (Russ) havenae heard hide nor hair from him for ages ?? Craig.

Nipped into Autoecosse on Sun, wall to wall subaru's - great. They had the new wrxs, looked alot better than the sti I thought, 260bhp oot the wrapper with some tasty 18's . Promptly filled in my loyalty form so looking forward to some savings which is more than welcomed right now. All this talk of personal texts and emails, I'm feeling a bit left oot, I had to get the car in for an mot before I heard anything Nothing like the personal touch tho. Chatting to the other sales team they were really friendly and certainly don't give off that 'i'm only after your dosh' vibe, so with my complimentary coffee and wee piecies I left a pretty happy bunny Craig

Couldn't honestly answer that mate, but what I can say is that most of the cars that are on the forecourt are of a pretty high standard. Gary's the sales manager and came from Eden in Cupar, so there's prob not much he doesn't know about the brand. Craig.
-
The car went into Autoecosse for the dreaded mot, no probs what so ever If you can; get holds of Gary he'll do his best to help you out whatever the prob. They are having their opening day this weekend (sat and sun i think), will be skooting across on the sun to show a face and have a blether. Will be using them again no question Craig.

Just a wee update; eventually went with APlan. 580 all in, they were going to be adding 10 ~ 12% interest due to the monthly payments but managed to work them down For comparison purposes did forget to mention the 4 pts (sp30) that I have this is prob where the difference is coming in compared to some folks, ah well. Thanks again for the info people; just the mot to go now Craig.
-
Yeah mate they were after £625ish basically a baw hair less than DL. If i'm honest, didn't get a great vibe fae them I know that Garry Moulson is meant to the 'boy' over there but it wasn't him I spoke to. Craig.
-
Still waiting for confirmation from elephant but as it stands APlan is no bad at all. £579, protected fc with 300 excess. Phoned Direct Swines and they weren't prepared to match - oh well outta their pocket and into APlans Craig.

Cheers Kev always thought that place looked a 'tet' rough I've been in it, they sell bike gear aswell eh. Spoke to Andy at AWD; they subbie out the mot's aswell and he says that you don't need a 4wd roller set up to do the brakes so technically I could go to any station. I've got a pal that works in national tyres on the strathy might give him a bell ?? Goad ma heeds burst Craig.
-
Following on from my Ins request the bloomin' MOT's due aswell Was going to give AWD a try but thought I'd ask if there are any places a little closer to Dundee. Checkpoint in Arbroath has been suggested (cheers Kev) are there any others I'm forgetting about ?? Thanks all, Craig.
-
Gave them a go but I couldn't proceed due to them needing 'more information on my car' ?? Will phone tonight when I get home . Craig.
-
Cheers mate, away to give them a go now. Craig.
-
Thats brilliant lads thanks for all that. Will prob have to give most of them a try tomorrow me thinks with the holiday. Did use the on line quote was very cheap but once you start adding the mods on it just shoots up. A wee tip for people like myself that pay monthly with DL - don't just let your renewal run because as a new customer you're entitled to 0% on your payments and if you just let it continue the interest is added on thus increasing your anual premium
-
Thanks for that lads, just tried APlan; closed with the english holiday and all that will try again tomorrow tho Craig.
-
Personally would be getting the garage to run a free diagnostic on it. It does appear that they have disturbed a sensor of some kind. It's difficult to say what to check without knowing the fault tho. Craig.
-
Cheers 5t, have heard he's a friggin' nightmare to holds of tho. Will give Keith Michaels a go aswell then. Again have you had long term dealings with that lot, customer service is kinda important for me ? Craig.
-
Cheers Paul, have you had recent dealings with them ?? Craig.
-
Direct Line you gotta love 'em, toerags just upped my premium by £150 Did everything by the book; informed them of all mods as they were done, they said at the time that they didn't effect the premium that much (which was right it only crept up a few quid at a time). But this year whallop !! Anyways has anyone had any good deals from anywhere recently that I could give a go ?? Quick recap; 29yrs young, 03 wrx with all the usuals (map, springs etc), 8 yrs ncd, protected, tracker, minimal miles, garaged - DL wants £656 ?? Sorry for the ramble people Craig.
