  6. Never tried it myself so not sure if 1 cancels the other out or not. You're right about collonite tho, that stuff is awesome.
  7. Looking good but can i ask why you put 2 coats of different wax on it?
  8. You will need both days, trust me
  9. 6 spoke comp mo's would look sweet on your car. Loved them on my RS
  10. Nice. I remember Craig mac had those wheels on thunder, very nice indeed.
  11. Great results there Frank. If there is any swirls etc left over after a few passes it may be that the car has seen paint at some point and they lie under the laquer. Some panels on my BM took 3 passes with intensive and 2 passes with final finish as the paint is so hard.
  12. nice one mate. I love the colour of the RB5's
  13. Get some pics up then
  14. never used vinegar myself, quite happy using my liquid detergent or replacing them every 6 months. Think people just use vinegar because its a really stong and cheap way of cleaning. Cannot be for the smell thats for sure
  15. If you have a megs 220 do it yourself instead of going all the way up to polshed bliss. I will come down and give you some pointers if you like?
  16. Well you are prob the only one who hates doing black cars! I find them the most rewarding. The rotary should bring out any imperfections no problem with megs #80. As for microfibre cloths, the more you spend the better quality you will get. I have megs, poorboys and zymol cloths and all are of very high standards. When washing them use a non bio liquid, do not use powder as it will stick inside the weave of the cloth and cause scratches. Best thing to do is check it on a cd before using it on your car, if it scratches the cd then you can be sure it will do the same to your paint.
  17. Super clean car bud. Give it another coat of wax for a little extra depth. It is hard to get good reflections on that colour but you have done well.
  18. Megs #80 & #83 are pretty much the same as Menzerna intensive and final finish so stick with that and you will see the results. Are you doing it by hand? If so a german applicator pad is the best thing to use.
  19. if you want your wheels green then go ahead and paint them that colour, never listen to or care what anyone else says. It's you thats driving it. I should maybe listen to my own advice there and start detailing cars again
  20. Just by hand yeah, never took me long. Normally use the porter cable but that was not a full detail, i was just prooving a point to the guy.
  21. Tidy looking car mate, the wheels would be better in a different colour.
  22. Sorry but that won't restore faded paintwork. Menzerna intensive polish with a german applicator pad will work wonder tho as seen below
