I tried the Meguiars 3 stage and thought it was too hard work for little protection. Now at the start of the year I clay the whole car with a Meguiars Clay Bar then polish with Swissol/Swissvax Cleaner Fluid then protect with Swissol/Swissvax Samurai Wax. After that I normally wax the car once a month. This method is easier and the protection is amazing I rarely get tar spots sticking its that good. The Swissol/Swissvax is more expensive but worth every penny, the results speak for themselves.

Great night and run, enjoyed my burgers (worth the wait eh Stevie!). Mark, tell the boys no probs and maybe take 2 footballs the next time! Cheers to St3ph3n for the loan of the utensils. Met Jac on the way home, your car sounds awesome mate, was keeping well back to avoid stonechips not because I couldn`t keep up []! Roll on next month.

Hi and welcome mate, your car`s looking great, nice one. I`ll see you if you`re going to the meet tonight, bring a wee disposable BBQ and some grub. If you want a pic next to your user name then you need to be a paid up member mate. []

That looks a cracking example you`ve got there, nice one. Know what you mean about the Clay Bar, you think you car`s clean until you clay it, and what a difference it makes. [Y][H]

**** that, and here`s me worried about parking my car at Tescos! People like that should be shot! Total lack of respect to other people and their property, but who is to blame? The parents, or society?

Surely 99% of us on here have considered an EVO at some point? If the 9s were discounted when the 10 arrives I would defo take a test drive, but it would have to be a half decent discount as I know the values would fall. As for the Focus ST, I couldn`t see myself buying one but it looks a good deal. I have sent away for a S3 brochure to look over as 4wd, 260bhp and the build quality of the Audi is becoming very appealing, (also getting a RS4 brochure, but thats for the lotto win). Don`t want anyone to think that I`m putting Subarus down, as we all know the what they are capable off and the grin factor they give us just sometimes small niggles turn into expensive new cars for me! For those in the know/trade what are the Audi residues like? Cheers for your comments guys.

After seeing a few EVO9s down at the Jim Clark Rally I was really impressed with the styling, so just off the Mitsubishi Website and shock..... for £28k - £35k you have to pay extra for a stereo FFS!!! Also a Tracker would be extra, now you might be thinking that the cost of some ICE and a tracking system is pennies if you`re willing to pay £30k on a car but I was amazed they never came standard. Also servicing comes every 4500 miles or 6 months. I have never drove an EVO and I know alot of folks on here would advise me not to get one but I`m on my 4th Subaru and want my next car to be something different. I like to buy new (I know at lot of people would advise against that also) so if there was discounts on 9s when the 10 comes out I could be tempted to take a test drive. I also like the Audi S3, now you can`t knock the quality of these cars, sometimes I sit in my car and can`t stand the rattles or irritations from the 'cheap interior' ( silver console easily scratched) or the jack knocking in the boot (thought it was the dreaded strut problem) and think I could of had a better built car for my money. When I added the extras like the 18inch wheels, RS4 style steering wheel and bucket seats it was fast approaching the £30k mark for the S3. Out of interest I took a look at the Focus ST, and for the ST3 it is just over £20k for what looks like quite a sporty car with good spec. Has anyone had any experiences with these cars especially the EVO and S3? If so views or opinions would be appreciated. At the moment my 05 PPP`d STI is by far my favourite Subaru that I have owned, servicing is not too bad and I love the look and sound of it but sometimes I feel it just lacks a bit of quality. But is the grass greener on the other side? Mmmm. [*-)]

Anyone see it? Looking promising for Subaru at last, actually fighting with Loeb.

Know what you mean saw a few people with 'carry outs'. 1st stage on saturday we were standing next to 4-5 guys with their Stellas, FFS I`d just finished my breakfast! []

When getting to that particular spot we used a gate to access the field, walked at the edge of the field so not to damage any crops etc got to the point where we stood which was in full view of the marshalls, in-fact a 'senior official' moved people who were in the garden of the house next to the junction down to us. Now how is it that if you wear a green bib with 'media' on it you can stand in the most unsensible of places? I would follow any marshalls instructions as they are there to do a job which is to keep the rally safe, but I was amazed when the EVO crashed that there was a young boy, who couldn`t have been more than 12, run out to help with an orange safety bib on. I have total respect for other peoples property and I am sensible enough to know how close to get to the action and would never jeopardise the rally in any way.

Parked the car at the farm a bit away from the crossing then went through the gate into the field behind the house that was for sale, there was about a dozen of us and the marshalls knew we were there so no probs. I`ve been to Wales Rally GB twice and honestly think the Jim Clark is better!

Hello and welcome mate. Car looks mint mate nice one. (green not my fave colour but I`m fom the other side []) Enjoy. [Y] -
I`ve had 4 Subarus including a P1 and can`t see me buying another one.I`ve heard the EVOs are a bit all or nothing but seeing the 9 up close rather in pics has really made an impact on me. Looked at a 7 when selling the P1 but the service intervals put me off a bit.

EVO crash was a bad one, thought it was coming for us! James - EVO was at Swinton mate. I drive a 55 plate Crystal Grey STI with PFF7s and Prodrive flaps and was always parked next to my mates works van. Great cars and great weekend! []

After seeing the EVO 9s at the Jim Clark rally I`m serious thinking of an EVO. If they are doing deals on the 9 when the 10 comes out I will be making my way to the dark side me thinks!
